10 years married to the real MVP

Ashley is my rock. Being married to her is one of the biggest blessings I could have ever dreamed of. She has always been there to believe in me, and always supported me in all things I do- even if it seems outrageous. She is my travel buddy as we chase the Packers around the country making memories in places we have never been.

Ashley has been there to celebrate my greatest accomplishments, literally picked me up off the ground when I was at my lowest, and held me during times of loss.

She helped lead me back to a relationship with Christ, birthed our beautiful daughter, and continues to amaze me everyday with the way she does life.

I know our future holds great things because together there is nothing we can’t do. I couldn’t ask for a better partner to hold hands with as we walk through all that life gives.

Cheers to 10 years and a lifetime more babe.

To say that I’m proud of Brooke is an understatement. The 2023 gymnastics season concluded with her highest overall score of the season, and a 3rd place finish on the podium at the NGA National Championship. She competed with the best gymnasts in her level and age group in the United States. The difference between 1st and 3rd was just 2/10 of a point. Brooke overcame a lot of adversity to get to this meet, and competed her heart out. Nothing brings me more joy in this life than being a dad, and watching Brooke push her own limits and grow as a competitor is something I will never grow tired of.

In moments of reflection I realize how truly blessed I am in this life. I am surrounded by so many supportive people. I have an amazing wife and family, I have business partners and friends that bring out the best in me, and each day I am working to build the foundation on which my legacy will stand.

Get out of your comfort zone. Think bigger. Push the limits. Do great things.

Let me tell you about my mom. She’s the most selfless person I’ve ever met. She has spent her life sacrificing to make my life better. As I was growing up she worked multiple jobs to keep a roof over my head, and would give me her last dollar so that I could do something with my friends- even if it meant she went without. She taught me that no matter the outcome you tell the truth. She taught me about loyalty, and how to love Jesus. She has held me at while I cried and has always been there cheering me on. As a single mom she gave me the best morning snuggles, made sure I knew that I was loved, and always told me I could accomplish anything I wanted in this life. Simply put, she is the main reason I am who I am today, and she deserves more than I could ever give. 🤟🏼 💚

I’ve spent the last 1,461 days as a sober man. It@wasn’t always easy, but I’ve learned a lot over the past 4 years and I thought I’d share a few of my thoughts as I reflect on how far I’ve come. Sobriety changed my life and I am proud to say that. 💚

So much has changed over the past 10 years, but one constant is my gratitude for all of my clients that have trusted me to help them navigate the process of buying or selling real estate. Whether you were one of my first clients trusting a spiked hair 23 year old that was wet behind the ears, a current client relying on my knowledge and experience, or somewhere in between; I appreciate you. My career growth and achievement awards would not possible without all of you. I am pretty stoked to have had the opportunity to receive these three awards today. If it weren’t for all of my past and present clients none of them would have been possible. I will say, however, the one I’m most proud of is WORK/LIFE BALANCE.

I have spent years trying to figure this out, and have finally gotten to the point where I block my time so that when I need to be productive I can be super focused, but when I need to be present for my family or recharge my own batteries I can do that too. This balance helps prevent the burnout I experienced earlier in my career.

There’s no substitute for hard work, but there’s also nothing like being there for my family when they need me.

Keep working hard FOR your why. Everything will fall into place.

Get out of your own way. Stop making excuses. Capitalize on opportunity. Get in rooms and conversations with people that will change your life, even if the situation is uncomfortable at first. I promise you won’t regret it.

Dad.
It’s a simple word that carries immeasurable weight. Its the best name I’ve ever been called. Nothing in this life has given me more purpose than having the privilege of being Brooke’s dad. The days pass slow but the years go fast. In the blink of an eye my baby girl has gone from a peanut with a heartbeat on a screen in a doctor’s office to an energetic, intelligent, athletic, caring and God loving girl. She makes being a parent easy. I am far from a perfect dad, but I will spend the rest of my life showing my daughter love and respect, encouraging her to push herself and to chase her dreams. I will support her in doing what she loves, and work daily on being the best role model to her that I can be. Happy 8th Birthday to the person that made me a dad, and gave my life true purpose.

I would make this trip 100x over. I have overwhelming gratitude to have been able to be at Lambeau Field in January watching the playoffs in the snow. As a kid I would dream of getting to go to Lambeau field at least one time in my life. I’ve now been to many games at Lambeau, but of all the games I’ve been able to see there in my life, last night is one I’ll really cherish. Sometime in the fourth quarter as the snow was falling I looked around and took a minute to actually soak in the magnitude of what it meant to me to be there sharing those moments with the two people I love most in this life. There’s absolute disappointment in how the final score read so I’m not writing this to pretend there’s not, but that will never surpass the feelings of joy I will have when looking back on the game. I love the packers, and I am forever grateful for the memories I was blessed to make watching them this season. Memories make us rich, and I am wealthy beyond words.
