Restore Illinois : Phase 3 : UPDATE

Dear Savvy Strands community,


As promised I have a Savvy Update!

I will be at the salon this coming week cleaning, disinfecting, setting up signage and more to prepare for my reopening!! Can I get a " whoot! whoot!" .and...

I WILL be scheduling appointments in June!!!

Before we get into those details I'd like to say something from the heart; I'm beyond thankful to all of you. Your support has spurred me on and without you I couldn't be me. So, thank you.

Now then, where were we?

Ah yes, let's talk appointments;

Was your appointment canceled? If yes, then you are my first priority to be rescheduled. You do NOT need to contact me, I will be in contact with you next week. I will be rescheduling in the order in which appointments were cancelled.

If no, I will start opening up my schedule to new appointments once I'm all caught up. My goal for new appointments scheduling is mid July. I know, that's still a while off. Thank you for understanding!


It will take some time to get everyone in, thank you for your continued patience. In order to uphold sanitation and safety guidelines I'm forced to work at less than 50% capacity! If I don't follow these rules I could lose my license and your strands wouldn't be so savvy :(

Below I have a list of safety guidelines for you to become acquainted with

SAVVY SAFETY GUIDE

~ All guests MUST wear a face mask with ear loops that cover your nose and mouth at all times (I will have masks for purchase if needed for $2)

~ All guests MUST sign a COVID-19 waiver to be serviced

~ Upon arrival text me and wait in your vehicle until I give the all clear (the waiting room is off limits at this time)

~ You will be required to wash your hands for 30 seconds before entering the salon suite

~ I will NOT be accepting cash. During your appointment I will send you an invoice via email for touch fee payment

~ All guests will have their temperature taken by a touch-less thermometer. If your temperature is above 99.9 degrees your appointment will be rescheduled

~ If you are sick, please stay home (I am waiving all cancellation fees during this time)

~ Hand sanitizer will be available for use throughout your appointment

~ Please leave your phone in your pocket/purse while service is being performed (you can use it during color processing). You may text me pictures of hair color and haircut ideas the day before your appointment

~ No food & no drinks are allowed in the salon

~ Only one guest at a time. No extra people, no children or pets

~ Appointment times may need to be adjusted to allow time for cleaning and sanitation

~ If you have traveled out of state or gone to any large gatherings with over 100 people, please book your next appointment 14 days after you arrive home

~ If you have pending test results for Covid-19- DO NOT COME TO THE SALON

~ If you have had or been in the same house as someone who has had Covid-19 within 21 days of your appointment- DO NOT COME TO THE SALON

~ I am counting on each and everyone of you to be honest about how you are feeling the day of your appointment. Remember! If someone tests positive we all may have to quarantine again for 14 days!!

~ I have the right to refuse any service at any time

"Please be patient with me. It's been a stressful time for salons and all small businesses everywhere. It will take some time to get used to all the changes but we are in this together! Can't wait to see you! "

Restore Illinois : Phase 3

Dear Savvy Strands community,

Did you hear? Illinois is on schedule to cautiously move into Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois reopening plan.

I know you are just as excited as I am to get my hands on your hair and work my Savvy Magic!

OK. So now what?

As a licensed cosmetologist and salon owner, I'm always required to have a system in place to keep my salon safe and sanitized in order to uphold OSHA and the IL Department of Public Health's guidelines. In these times there are new rules for safety & sanitation provided by both OSHA and IDPH which will bring some changes into our appointments. I am on top of all the new rules and am preparing my space for the new changes to follow.

Here are a few examples:

• Dedicated appointment slots (one guest at a time)

• Face masks with ear loops required

• On site touch-less temperature checks

• Buffer time for cleaning and sanitation in between all appointments

• Touch free payments

• Disposable PPE items per guest (cape, smock, gloves, mask, towels)

The time draws near to no longer fear the mirror!
