To all of our customers and friends, we are announcing our retirement of Rising Moon Natural Foods. With change happening all around us, we have decided after 23 years that it is time to close the store. It has been an amazing journey living our dream as owners of a small mom & pop health food store. Having lived a holistic lifestyle to stay healthy in mind and body since our teenage years, the seeds were planted and ready to sprout. It was only a thought back then that we could have a health food store in our small town of Plainfield, CT. In 1998, the right sequence of events occurred to allow us to open Rising Moon Natural Foods in a rustic bungalow nestled in the heart of town. Since then we evolved into a classic and progressive family business dedicated to serving our community’s need for wellbeing. Over the years we have had so much support and help from great people. A special thank you goes out to all our current and past employees and volunteers who made Rising Moon a reality: Haley Cwynar, Jennifer Bush, Annie Zvingilas, Mallory Brisson, Craig Nelson, Lorna Zvingilas, Lauren Churchill, Holly Coombs, Lydia Mackela, Lindsay Conrad, Linda Zurowski (dearly departed) and Caitlin Brown (dearly departed). Thank you to our customers for 23 years of support, we have been happy to serve you. We hope your shopping experience with us contributed to keeping you happy, healthy, and informed.
