When it comes to developing good character, Primrose students have 12 special helpers. Through songs, stories, activities and more, teachers use the Primrose Friends to help children learn about positive character traits like generosity ❤️, courage 🦁 and cooperation 🤝.

The start of a new school year is always exciting, but little ones sometimes feel nervous about making the transition whether that be the prospect of a new classroom, new teachers or new friends. Try these tips to help build your child's confidence for the first day of school and beyond:​

👋 Wave Goodbye to Summer: Enjoy an end-of-summer picnic and a first day back at school breakfast with your family.​

🙂 Keep it Positive: Your attitude makes a huge difference when it comes to building excitement about the school year. Talk to your child about all the fun they'll have and how they'll get to see their school friends soon. ​
​
🍎 Practice Healthy Habits: Schedules tend to get off track in the summer, so it's important to reestablish your child's normal sleeping and eating schedules. The transition will be easier for both of you when your little one is well-rested and feeling good. ​
​
🗓️ Make a Paper Chain: Starting in the final days of summer, create a paper chain with every "link" representing one day. Have your child draw what happened that day on each link. When the first month of school is over, you'll have a fun memory craft to decorate with. ​
​
📚 Read Together: Reading books about heading back to school is a fun way to get your child excited while helping strengthen their early literacy skills. ​

In June, Primrose schools in Middle Tennessee hosted over 340 teachers for Professional Development Day! This event was full of learning, collaboration, team-building exercises and networking. ​

We're happy to support by providing them continuous opportunities to learn and grow. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this Professional Development Day to life, from schools and Franchise Owners to our guest speaker and the amazing teachers who help build a brighter future for every student.

Spring Fling has come to an end, and this year the Primrose community has raised more than $510,000 as children learned about the joy of giving without expectation. 🌸🎉​

Half of the funds raised will support local charities in Primrose school communities, and the other half support the Primrose Schools Children Foundation's mission to empower people, care for the planet and give back to communities through contributions to West Lakes Early Learning Center, No Kid Hungry®, Save the Children® and more.

Today is Juneteenth, a holiday that commemorates Black history, equality and freedom in the United States. It's a day of remembrance, but also a day of joy and celebration for Black Americans. We honor and encourage families to join us in recognition of this important occasion!

🌟 Snow Cone Social with Dad! 🌟

Today, we celebrated our dads—our superheroes—with a fun-filled afternoon at our snow cone social! 🍧 Thanks to Kona Ice Plano for the delicious snow cones that helped us beat the heat. Our dads enjoyed every bite, played all the games, and connected with other amazing dads. The air was filled with smiles, hugs, and laughter. We wish all of our dads, grandpas, and uncles a very happy Father’s Day! 💙👨‍👧‍👦

The future is looking bright! 🌟 Primrose graduates have had an amazing journey that has prepared them so well for their next big adventure - kindergarten! Congratulations to our June Family of the Month, The Rivera-Pineda Family! Check our their story on why they chose Primrose West Plano!

We are Elizabeth Rivera and Omar Pineda, proud parents of Eliseo! Our little Eliseo started attending Primrose of West Plano July 2022 and what an AMAZING family to be a part of! Primrose was only the second daycare/school I (mom) had visited and didn’t think twice as I saw how kids would love up on the staff! That itself spoke volumes! Eliseo was way ahead of the game when it came to learning new things and we were running out of challenges for him. Primrose has exceeded way beyond the education I expected and Eliseo has grown tremendously not only academically and his speech, but also in bringing him out of his shyness shell, thriving beyond measures. We always say he is a 30 year old in that 5 year old body with the immense amount of knowledge Primrose and all his teachers have given him.

Elizabeth is born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She is both a TWU and Texas Tech graduate where she pursued her Bachelor’s and Masters degree in Business and Healthcare Administration. She has been in the Senior Living industry for 10 years working in various areas like care, marketing, administration, food, and currently a Staff Accountant for 12 Oaks Senior Living in Dallas. Eliseo gets his great knowledge of numbers from his mom! In our spare time we LOVE watching and playing sports as Eliseo is both in a flag football and baseball team. During baseball season, we attend the Texas Rangers games regularly to see his favorite player, Adolis Garcia. We also can’t miss watching the Dallas Cowboys to see how CeeDee Lamb runs the ball! When sports aren’t taking our time, we love vacationing out to different beaches or Disney! Omar was born in Guerrero, Mexico. He has worked in the food industry for over 15 years playing many managerial/administration roles. Omar works along side Eliseo’s favorite aunt in managing restaurants around DFW. Eliseo and his dad spend weekends having all the fun at his aunts house, going to the movies, and jumping at their favorite place, Urban Air!

Eliseo began in Mrs.Morgan and Mrs.Maggie’s Preschool 1 class and cannot thank them enough for the love and care they gave Eliseo when he first started. As a first time mom, I worried so much of who looked after him and boy was I full of tears the first week along with Eliseo! But these 2 teachers gave him the best love and attention! Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Brittney that Eliseo still also loves to this day for the extra loving they always give him. Now finishing in PreK 2, we have Mrs. Maggie again and Mrs.Shaikh, I can’t say enough appreciation words for these two as they are just close and dear to our hearts!

Thank you Primrose for all that you do, Ms. Jordan and Mrs. Richardson for hearing and letting me talk my ear off with all my momma bear concerns, Mrs. Tuma for the love and hugs during those crying moments for our first days, and of course Mrs. Melissa for sharing the love of baseball with Eliseo every single day without fail. We wouldn’t be where we are without you all!

🦁 Today, our Summer Camp Explorers had an incredible trip to In Sync Exotic Wildlife Rescue! 🐯 On our private tour, the kids got to witness some very cool animals up close and learn about their fascinating lives. It was an unforgettable experience!

We can't wait to continue sharing more summer camp adventures here at PWP! 🌞 Stay tuned for more fun and excitement!

🐄✨ Last Thursday was udderly amazing! Southern Dairy Farm visited us, and we had the moo-st wonderful time meeting Dora the cow 🐮. Our students learned all about what Dora eats, how farmers get milk from cows, and the incredible nutrients that milk provides! 🥛 A huge thank you to Southern Dairy Farm for an educational and fun experience. Our students are now dairy experts! 🧀🌾

🎓✨ Last night was our graduation here at Primrose West Plano! There were smiles, happy tears, and the best hugs anyone could receive. We are so proud of each and every one of our graduates and can’t wait to see them continue to grow in the years to come. 🌟

PLANT PARTNER SORT

Today our Pre-K 1 friends carefully examined plants and worked with a partner to choose a sorting rule. Once they sorted the plants they shared with the class their sorting rules.
