Nothing super fancy but definitely a great use of space to create a rustic campfire type feel 🪵🔥🏕️ Giant moss boulders for seating, tejas black medium-large gravel base, silver mist builders chopped for wood burning ring, limbed up the eastern red cedars & cedar elms , and client added bistro string lights along the tree line for mood light. This was a final touch to an already amazing landscape project we did late last year. Amazing clients to work with.

2-13-24, installed this French drain with catch basins in the swale of the backyard to help keep it more dry and move the water to an existing catch basin that collects water and moves it other front outlet. We brought sheets of wood to place all of our excavated soil on, so as to not ruin the zoysia sod.

Last weeks fun in the sun ☀️. We made good progress, irrigation, drainage, soil prep, trees and plants installed, and grading 💪 We have decorative native gravel, zoysia sod, and synthetic turf left to do, but we have a few other trades that need to do some things before that. So rain rain go away ☀️🤪😂

Every season in the garden mulch has a particular role. This time of year a thick layer of mulch will help protect plants that die down to the ground until next spring. It keeps tender perennials alive. Choosing the right kind of mulch helps.
Also, mulching the bare soil around plants is a major part of the basic organic program and should be the last step when new planting is done. But there are some good and bad choices. The linked article gives a run down for you and some tips that might help.

Just grabbing 2-3 tons of Moss Boulder flats for tomorrows project that’s nearby.

We made quick work of this three tier fountain installation with water auto fill. It looks nice nestled in this inlet along the front of the house, just off the front porch. It’s slightly hidden just behind some lowly planted hameln grass 💧🌿.

Just doing a little touch up on a Landscape project we did some years back. We added a couple of glazed pots, trimmed everything front and back, w**d removal , seasonal color, additional plants, fresh mulch, and also added water emitters to the pots so the homeowner doesn’t have to hand water.
