Crush the Crisis Prescription Drug Take Back Day, Saturday, October 26, 2024, is a medication take-back event that invites community members to safely and anonymously dispose of unused or expired prescription medication.

The collection site, which includes a convenient drive-thru medication drop-off option, will be located at 1905 Hwy 97 East in front of the Medical Office Building. Please follow the event signs to the drive-thru medication drop-off location.

There will be items for sale, community resources with information, health screenings, community surveys, the Lions Club will bring their bus to do free vision screening, and raffle items!

If you are interested in a mammogram please call the number listed on the flyer below to make an appointment. The mobile mammogram bus will be in Charlotte on July 23rd.

We are still looking for ladies over 40 years old who are needing mammograms. We still have spots open for our July screening day! If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us :)

We have the opportunity for a mobile mammogram program to come to Charlotte to offer mammograms for those who qualify. Anyone who qualifies is welcome to come. It only takes about 30 minutes, including registration time. You get results within 24 hours. Financial assistance may be provided to women with no other health care coverage and those who qualify for the program. We need at least 10 women to sign up for this to happen. Please comment on this post if you meet the following criteria and are interested in a mammogram.

• Are a female age 40 or older
• Have not had a mammogram within the past 12 months
• Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have no personal history of breast cancer
• Have no unusual breast symptoms such as a lump

A mammogram is a breast X-ray. It is the best screening test for detecting breast cancer at an early stage. Mammograms play a crucial role in breast cancer screening. They can detect breast cancer before it causes signs and symptoms. Mammograms have been shown to reduce the risk of dying of breast cancer.
