I'm humbled to be a recipient of the Joel Acebu Award. Winning this award to me holds a profound significance as it represents Service Champions most revered award.
For me, it's a surreal experience filled will with a mix of overwhelming emotions and a deep appreciation for the opportunity to be acknowledged among peers and esteemed professionals. Its represents a moment of triumph, affirming the dedication to go out and be better each and everyday.
This is a testament to the unwavering support of my mentors, the dedication of the team, and the encouragement of my loved ones.

"It is an honor to be recognized by the close team we have at Power. When we were Maine Electric and joined forces with Service Champions, I didn’t know how it would transition, but I knew I wanted to be a part of something bigger.

At Service Champions, we honor our team member, Joel Acebu. Each of our five field centers, our Client Experience Center and our Support Center team members vote for the team member in their center that most represents what Joel brought to Service Champions. Of these 7 nominees, one winner is chosen to receive the Joel Acebu Award. In true Joel style, the center winners are all recognized with an award.

Joel passed away tragically in 2016 at one of our company retreats. He was hard working and driven to deliver on our brand promise to our clients with kindness. He was a Top Performer and exemplified our Core Values. So much so that we found it only fit to dedicate an award in his honor to keep his legacy going at Service Champions.

Stephanie has been nominated, 3 years in a row, by her fellow team members, at our Client Experience Center; winning in 2022.

When asked what it meant for her to receive this award, this is what she had to say:
“This means so much to me! I have worked hard for many years to prove to myself that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to.

Service Champions is by far the best and most challenging job I’ve had and is also where I have built relationships that I know will last a lifetime.

I had the pleasure of knowing Joel for a short time before his passing. I may have only talked to him a couple of times but, as soon as it was announced that we are creating an award in honor of his hard-work and kindness, my goal at Service Champions was to receive it. Which proves to me that I am just as kind & hardworking as Joel.

What means most to me is that my team picked me. They had so many others to choose from and they picked me. Three years in a row! I love working at Service Champions and will be here for as long as possible!".

Recently, we were able to support Brittany, a single mom with two young daughters, living in a house with a 26-year-old broken furnace in Grass Valley, where winters come with below freezing temperatures. Given her financial struggles and numerous expenses, the cost of a new furnace was beyond her reach. We were able to install a brand-new furnace, ensuring that she and her daughters could stay warm during the cold season.
