We had our first truly successful HYBRID meeting on Feb 2! The venue was at a convenient location; the room was safe and spacious for in-person attendees; and seamless video conferencing was made for our attendees on Zoom.
New member, Srinivasa Myneni gave his ice breaker speech about moving from the "back end" to the "front" both professionally and personally. Shalini Suravarjjala was a marvelous storyteller who reflected back on her frightening and hilarious Road to Hana.
Club officers decided that we will have HYBRID meetings on the first Wed of each month. Location will be shared to members and pre-registered guests.

Drum Roll Please! Contest Master Pat Griffin led a marvelous Chamber Chatters Evaluation contest on Feb 9. Meera Pathmarajah, from neighboring TM club was our target speaker. Her title was "Feel Good Flutters".. all about how she published her dissertation into a book! Wow. Contest winners were Haruka Yamash*ta (1st), Vicki Hubbard (2nd) and Subrata Saha (3rd). Special Thanks to Shalini Suravarjjala who helped secure the judges and timers to make the event a success. To our surprise SEVEN guests came to witness our contest. Hopefully some of them will sign up to be members!
Area Contest is March 3rd - evening on Zoom.
Join us for the next Toastmasters Walk & Talk!
Chamber Chatters hosted our January Toastmasters Walk & Talk on Jan 22 in Dublin. Subrata Saha did a great job serving as Toastmaster for the first time (Yay!), with the theme of California Winter Holidays. The weather was warm in the 60's with Refreshing (WOD) winds to keep us on our toes. Pat Griffin shared the Tip of the Day about taking a Fork in the Road. President Haruka Yamash*ta, the TableTopics Master had a printed list of questions for adults and kids alike. 4 timers, all from Gallant Gaveliers, a Dublin Youth Toastmasters group, kept us on track, thanks to Shalini Suravarjjala.

After a day of over-eating on Thanksgiving, we hosted our first Toastmasters Chamber Chatters Walk & Talk!
We parked our cars and bikes by the Dougherty Dog Park in Dublin. We went on a moderate walk up and down hills, soaking up views of Dublin HS, Camp Parks, Iron Horse Trail, 580/680 and the San Ramon Walmart. We skipped the steepest hill but it was still a great workout for all! Walked for just under an hour.
Theme was Thanksgiving. We kicked off our meeting with our Tip of the Day - “Don’t drink caffeine before your speech.” Vicki led Table Topics using flash cards. Subrata shared a story about his “Pioneering (WOD)” Startup venture. Naina shared memories of teachers from Fredericksen Elementary School.
Overall, our social event was a great success. Mark your calendar for our December Walk & Talk:
