Feeling sad as we approach our final few days. Thank you to our wonderful community who over the past few weeks have reinforced that we accomplished what we set out to do which was create a place where everyone at the table was family and which made a difference in the lives of others. Thank you for loving us as much as we loved you…. Please come visit Friday as we celebrate our Forever Hoorah ! Anette Westmoreland and I will be there from 2pm on tonshare one final moment with each of you… and maybe a tear or two. Thank you family for making our dream a reality.

It is with a mix of emotions that we announce the sale of Eddie Papa's American Hangout, our beloved award-winning family restaurant that has been a vibrant part of this community for the past 15 years. We write this letter with sincere gratitude reflecting on the memories we have shared and the incredible support you have shown us throughout our journey.

From the very beginning, our mission was to create a genuine and welcoming space where families and friends could gather, share in moments of fun, and savor delicious food by honoring the legacy of Edward Aslanian, aka Eddie Papa. We are immensely proud to say that we accomplished that and more. Eddie Papa's American Hangout became synonymous with a warm and inviting atmosphere, where laughter filled the air and where everyone at the table was family.

As we reflect on the past 15 years, we are filled with deep gratitude for the unwavering support this community has provided, especially during the challenging times we faced together, including the recent global pandemic. Your loyalty and patronage allowed us to weather the storm and continue serving our community when it needed it the most. Your support was not only a lifeline for our business but a testament to the strength and unity of this remarkable community.

We cannot express enough how much we appreciate the genuine connections we have formed over the years. We have witnessed friendships blossom, families create lifelong memories, and moments of joy that will forever be etched in our hearts. Your laughter, conversations, and shared experiences have made Eddie Papa's American Hangout a special place that we will cherish forever.

To our dedicated and talented staff, we extend our deepest gratitude for their commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences and for always being uncommon in our ability to take care of our guests. Their passion for creating delicious and memorable experiences has been the backbone of our success. We are grateful for their unwavering dedication and the energy they have poured into every plate and every guest. Stay Uncommon!

Though we may be passing the torch to a new business, the legacy of Eddie Papa's American Hangout will live on in the hearts and memories of everyone who has walked through our doors.

As we embark on this new chapter, we encourage you to continue supporting the local family-owned restaurants that make our community thrive. Your ongoing support is vital to their success and the vibrancy of the Tri Valley.

In closing, we want to express our deepest appreciation to each one of you for your unwavering support, genuine friendships, and the delicious memories we have created together. I love kind people! This is Emery Boots. For her 5th grade kindness project she coordinated dinner from Eddie Papas, thank you cards from her classmates and showered kindness on our Pleasanton PD. Way to go Emory!

So it’s been a long time since our page has been active! We are back! As if 2020 wasn’t hard enough for Eddie Papas, this past April I had a medical emergency (Miracle is a good word). These are a just a handful of my angels. The great news is Eddie Papas is still here better than ever and so am I! I am so excited to be back doing what I have loved for the past 13 1/2 years! We worked hard in 2020 fixing the place up, we still have amazing genuine hospitality driven employees, and we just introduced a NEW menu loaded with local healthy ingredients, made from scratch, and where quality need not be expensive. Regional American Cuisine, iconic dishes from cities across the country has been the focus of our menu since day 1, over 13 years ago! Covid had us shrink and restructure our menu. However as I look ahead to our promising future I need some help... Which dishes do you miss? What menu item reminds you of where you grew up? Cincinnati Chili? Sloppy Joe’s? Today marks 11 months since our world was rocked with the closure of indoor dining. I never would have predicted that we could have survived with just take out, delivery, and outdoor dining.... fortunately we have been blessed with amazing employees, phenomenal guest support, collaborative vendors, an unbelievably supportive landlord, a great bank , and a spectacular community!
