Interesting times for sure, real estate is a bit different right now and we are staying home and changing the way we interact with our clients in an effort to keep us all safe. More time in my home office virtually meeting with clients instead of in my car and clients homes. This is a great time to catch up on all of our To-Do Lists, yeah, we all have them. Here is what we feel are the Top 5 things homeowners have on their To-Do lists when we prepare our clients homes for sale.

1. De-clutter your closets - If things fall out when you open the door, it may be overdue.

2. Replace batteries in Smoke & CO2 detectors - doesnt it drive you crazy to look at the smoke detector hanging open without a battery?

3. Change your furnace filter - yep, if you want to check off an easy one, this takes about 10 seconds and your furnace will thank you.

4. Caulk your tubs, showers and counterops. Trust me, caulking can be a bit messy, have some paper towels handy, but nothing makes a tub/shower or Kitchen counter look better than getting rid of gross black or yellow caulking in the edges.

5. Clean your screens and windows - this may take a bit more time, but face it, we all have extra time right now, pull out the screens, vacuum them off, then gently rub them with a damp rag and then hit the windows with some good glass cleaner and paper towels(not TP, thats too valuable right now).
