Exploring the Nissan Yokohama engine plant, they witnessed advanced manufacturing techniques. At Haneda Chronogate, they observed logistics and supply chain management in action. Coca-Cola Bottlers showcased innovation in production processes, while JAXA provided a deep dive into aerospace technology. The Tokyo Stock Exchange tour illuminated financial management and market operations, and Kirin Brewery offered a unique perspective on process optimization and quality control.

New Leaders, Bright Futures! ASEM Chapter Elections at SCSU Plymouth Campus today brought forth our dynamic team for 2024! The election was conducted by Dr. Shah, ASEM SCSU Chapter Advisor and Sai Mounika, ASEM SCSU Chapter President 2023.
Meet the 2024 newly elected officers (from left): President - Rohitha Yaddanapudi, Vice President - Yashwanth Cherakula, Secretary - Mathura Gokul, Treasurer - Vaishnavi Bandi, and Public Relations Officer - Mostafa Nabhan. What a fantastic evening we had at the MEM Fall 2023 potluck! It was an exceptional opportunity for students to engage in meaningful conversations with alumni, while savoring a diverse array of international cuisines. The competition for the best dishes added an extra layer of excitement, and we all united to celebrate Dr. Baliga's remarkable 23-year journey in the teaching profession.

We would like to thank our program director, Dr. Hiral Shah, for providing us with the opportunity for the industry visit to Eye-Kraft Optical last month.
Students in the Master of Engineering Management Program had the valuable opportunity to participate in an enlightening industry visit to Eye-Kraft Optical. During this visit, the primary objective was to enhance students’ comprehension of the intricate processes involved in manufacturing and assembling of eyeglasses. Additionally, the students gained valuable insights into various critical aspects of management, including Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Production and Operations Management, and Project Management. This comprehensive exposure to different facets of management further enriched their educational experience. This visit was organized by the student chapter of American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) and led by student chapter President Sai Mounika Avisa and her team.

MEM program hosted Dr. Namit Gupta, a visiting faculty from SVVV University in India. Dr. Gupta presented two seminars to the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) students. The topics were: (1) Embedded Systems, IoT, and its Applications, (2) Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. Both the topics were related to AI and provided an insight on how it relates to the field of Engineering Management. Dr. Gupta is the Dean of Engineering College, Director at SV Institute of Science & Technology, and Professor of Electronics and Communications Engineering at SVVV University in Indore, India. SCSU has a MoU with SVVV which includes a faculty exchange program.
Dr. Ben Baliga recruiting students for SCSU in Education fairs in Pakistan (Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore) as part of the Education USA Pakistan tour.
Congratulations to Sagar Avuthu on getting certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP)! Sagar is a current student in the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program. Sagar stated that the Engineering Project Management course that he took with Dr. Hiral Shah helped him a lot while preparing for his exam. Sagar worked as a Graduate Assistant with Dr. Ben Baliga as his supervisor in the Fall 2022 semester.

ASEM’s St. Cloud State University (SCSU) student chapter held elections for its student body on Monday, January 24 and elected its office holders.
Aditi Ghosh was elected president, Amisha Rajani vice president, Rohit Bokil secretary, Paulo Cortez treasurer and Sanam Tanzeel public relations officer.
The new officers were welcomed into their positions by the outgoing team. They will run their tenure for a year and will work towards advancing engineering management in theory and practice.
SCSU’s Executive MEM and MEM programs are ASEM certified and are programs of distinction at St. Cloud State University.
The American Society for Engineering Management (SCSU Chapter) in conjunction with the MEM program organized a Pizza/Ice cream Event on October 12th 2021.
Mem students got a good opportunity to meet the MEM faculty, fellow students and ASEM Chapter Executives.
