I am an illustrator & sculptural book artist working on the Mendocino Coast of California.
7 alphabet books. Just need to glue the blocks into the covers. Then they are finished. They will be at the bookstore in Gualala, CA. I’ll let you know when the reading & signing is happening. Yay!
All of the tiny bears at Coast Highway Art Collective have sold. I’m going to work up a new pattern & make some new animals. Suggestions?
My printing press. I bought this last weekend at the the Printers Fair in Southern California. Still need to get rollers, but very excited about this. I’ve wanted a press for about 20 years, & finally the opportunity presented itself. I have plans.
Here is the finished wedding dress.
I’ve been working like crazy on my granddaughter’s wedding dress. This is the corset I made to go underneath the dress. I’ll post more photos after the wedding, which happens toward the end of June. Padding out a dress form now, so I have an approximation of her body. She lives around 2000 miles from where I am.
Hanging the Fringe Fest show. ☺️
This teddy bear & several more will be at Coast Highway Art Collective in Point Arena, CA December 10th, for Home Town Holidays. He stands approximately 10” tall, a tiny bear.

Spoolbook: drying after the first wash of watercolor. The sunflowers are next, then embroidery. I’ll post again when it’s finished.
The Spoolbook is finished. Water colored & embroidered paper.
First time using the small printing press. Just ordered ink yesterday. Tried blind printing with it today. Need to attach it to the table, but it’s so cool! ☺️
Newest journal I just finished, ready to ship to Georgia.
Selling my Pocket Shoulder Bags at this event in December.
Latest pocket shoulder bag. I’ll be doing 7 more before I start the embroidery on all of them.
The first of several pocket shoulder bags. Machined, with hand embroidery, & heavy duty hardware. I have altered the shape & opening from the original. There will be an added inner pocket in these, for small items, that normally get lost in the bottom of your bag, & you incessantly dig for, & eventually assume you left them at home, only to find them in there later when you don’t need them! 🙄
My Embroidered Pocket Shoulderbags will be available in December at Coast Highway Art Collective in Point Arena. ☺️🥳☺️🥳☺️ 🌲☃️🌲☃️🌲☃️🌲
New fabrics for more pocket shoulder bags. Lots of silks, upholstery fabrics, & some antique lace.
The hardware arrived, & I have finished the pocket shoulder bag. I’m happy with it, but have ideas for improvements. Will be looking for some new upholstery fabrics, & ideas for more embroidery patterns.
Moving right along. Hope to be finished tomorrow. I made this larger than the original pattern, except the opening, which is the same as the original. I also changed the shape to create more room, & rounded the bottom a little. It’s made of upholstery fabric front & back, & lined with black silk taffeta. I really like embroidery, so I’m doing a lot of it. I’m going to turn this into a shoulder bag & wear it that way, because I love bags.
