Congrats Broncos, we made it through the 2023-2024 school year! This year saw one of the most politically active times in recent CPP memory. We began the year by participating in the SAG-AFTRA picket lines to push for a fair contract. As the Semester went on, CSU tuition hikes became a central focus of ours, which lead us to engage in several protests outside the board of trustees. We also participated in the strikes hosted by California Faculty Association () which affected faculty in all the CSU campuses. The year finally culminated in Broncos who pushed ASI relentlessly, through protests and attending meetings, to pass a ceasefire resolution in Gaza.

Congratulations to our Co-founder .the.third, our chapter president , and our scheduler ._ for graduating!!! All of them have been invaluable members to this chapter and we wouldnโ€™t be where we are today without them. We would also like to also congratulate , .saulo, , and for graduating and the work that they have done for this chapter. We wish all of them the best of luck in their future endeavors!

Congratulations to all graduating Broncos!!! However our work doesnโ€™t stop here, we will be continuing to organize over the Summer. If you would like to get involved, check the link in our bio!! ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŽ

Thank you Broncos for an amazing fall semester!

With our fellow Broncos, we protested against weapons corporations at CPP career fairs, made progress in our community garden with , painted the CPP letters the colors of the Palestine flag with and , published an open letter against tuition hikes to Dr. Coley and admin in the Poly Post, and created the Bronco Justice Coalition alongside and .sij .

Outside of CPP, we picketed alongside WGA and SAG-AFTRA, protested the CSU tuition hikes, fought against forced outing policies in school districts, raised over $1800+ for internet access for Gazans, supported CFA and Teamsters on strike, and finished the semester off with a beach bonfire!

Are you pursuing a STEM education? ๐Ÿ”ฌ ๐Ÿงช As a Bronco you have a multitude of career paths ahead of you and it's crucial to consider the ethical implications of your potential career path. Some weapon companies, like Lockheed Martin, will be present at the upcoming CPP career fairs on 9/21 and 9/22. It's important to be aware that they specialize in developing military weaponry, which can have significant environmental and social impacts around the world. ๐ŸŒŽ

Bronco YDSA is organizing a peaceful protest against the participation of military weapons companies such as Lockheed Martin in the career fairs on September 21st and 22nd, running from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM in the University Quad. We believe that as CPP STEM students, you have the power to make choices that contribute positively to our world and not aid in global US Imperialism. Companies that profit from war and destruction have no place on our campus! ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

We invite you to join us in raising awareness about the consequences of supporting such companies and to consider signing our petition, which you can find in our bio, as a way to show your support for a more responsible and sustainable approach to STEM careers at CPP. ๐Ÿด
