With so much going on in personal and societal life we sometimes forget to take care of our greatest asset-ourselves. Remember, life is like the emergency airplane theory, you have to give yourself air/life before you can help anyone else! Take some time out each day or week specifically for you!!!!

May is Mental Health Month and ARC invites you to join us in spreading the word that mental health is something everyone should care about. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the mental health of people of all ages.
Now, more than ever, it is critical to reduce the stigma around mental health struggles, because that stigma often prevents individuals from seeking help. Millions of people in the U.S. are affected by mental illness each year and people with mental illness are overrepresented in our nation’s jails and prisons. We need to reduce criminal justice system involvement, decrease stigma around mental illness, and increase investments in mental health care.
Knowing how common mental illness is, helps us to understand its physical, social and financial impact — and is a reminder that no one is alone.
Motivational Monday: Small changes in routine can create the biggest, most beneficial changes in life. It’s very rare that habit changes or form overnight. Studies show that it can take 3 weeks to form a new habit and 3 months to make it routine (estimated). It’s normally the little things that yield great rewards!
When on a job interview, here are some helpful questions to learn about the establishment, position, and your possible future with the company. It’s also a great way to engage and show that you are willing to take charge when and where it’s needed!
Life brings about many thing’s... good, bad, ups and downs. Even when we’re driven, goal oriented and have good intentions it can be the smallest thing that knock us off track. Sometimes those are the things that seems to cause us to tailspin. However, in most cases there’s always a choice. A choice to walk away, ignore, slow down, stop, rethink, reflect, etc.. When these moments arise let’s be sure to remain focused on overall goals or tasks. Keep in mind the bigger picture. Stay the course... stay focused!
Today was monumental. Today justice was served. There needs to be accountability on several levels. Unjust systems needs to be broken down and rebuilt to justly and rightly serve the people!!! Let’s continue to move in love, peace, kindness and mindfulness OF ALL!!!
Motivational Monday! We are slowly approaching the 5th month of 2021 in a world that has been completely changed and rearranged for most of us. No matter what life still has to move forward. With all that life brings we sometimes get tired and overwhelmed. Feeling like quitting or giving up can easily creep in. It is in those moments that we must know to take breaks, relax and be in and of the moment. Those moments are necessary for gratitude and recharge. Try not to forsake your journey for the destination... that’s where you’ll find life’s jewels!
