Here at Walden Hammer works I just don’t build roof inserts for Fords. Over the years I have a masked the bucks and the templates to make roof inserts from everything from Model A to Z28’s (you know van sun roof conversion delete) and everything in between!! I just finished a roof insert for a 1933-34 Dodge Coupe. I also make panels for Plymouth, Chrysler, Dodge, and Chevrolet, Porsche, VW and just about anything on wheels. So if you need roof inserts or door skins give me a shout!!

Just finished up a Model A Sedan roof insert. This isn’t just any ordinary Model A Sedan roof insert it’s my 200th Sedan roof insert! The dimensions of a Model A roof insert are 79 inches front to back and 46 inches wide! The sedans have to be made in two sections. A front section and a rear section. Then the two are welded together and then blended using the Yoder power hammer. It’s a very tedious process. I guess that’s why I am the only one dumb enough to make them!!😂 I would like to thank the over 3500 roof insert customers that have bought roof inserts and door skins from me over the last 30 years!! My Yoder is ringing in the New Year!! I hammered out my first roof inserts of the year today January 4,2024! I hammered out three 36-36 Ford 5w roof inserts!! It’s a great feeling being on the Powerhammer!! There are days I have hated it!! There have been days when I cussed the thing when a panel was kicking my ass! But in the end I just go back to it and talk to it even negotiate with the hammer for good results. When I haven’t been on the hammer for a couple of weeks I get depressed……but as soon as I get back on the Powerhammer and I hear and feel those first hits, with everything turning and hitting right in front of my face, I totally relax and get into it. I love running my Yoder!! I hope everyone out there has a fantastic 2024!! Bobby.

Here’s a 36 3 window roof insert headed off to England, as in where the King of England lives😂! It’s the first panel made with the new die I shaped to replace the somewhat broken one. So cheers to everyone in hammerland!!

Our Kinmonts are designed for use with 1937 – 1941 Ford passenger car spindles or reproductions of the same style (round fl**ge)

• Drum covers are modeled from original Kinmonts with a few custom flairs added. Highly detailed with raised letters and part numbers along with directional arrows. Cast in green sand process using high end aluminum tooling, all done in-house. USA.
• Backing plates are also modeled from original Kinmonts, highly detailed with raised markings and custom changes to accommodate the modern rotor and caliper configuration. Cast in green sand process using high end aluminum tooling, all done in-house. USA.
• Fake wheel cylinders and caliper fittings are a piece of art in themselves with individual location markings. A true bolt on look gives them the correct finishing touch. Cast in green sand process from high end aluminum tooling, done in-house. USA.
• Hubs are the same design we use on our Buick style system and date back to 1998. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. Designed with the three most popular wheel patterns, 5 on 4.5”, 5 on 4.75” and 5 on 5.5” bolt circles. USA.
• Rotors are made from premium grey iron. Vented 10.5” dia. X .812” wide and produced from the same tooling designed back in 1998 for our Buick style system. Rotors are annealed for stress relief and to maintain accuracy. USA.
• Caliper brackets are made from 6061-T6 aluminum plate and also serve as the mounting surface for the backing plate. USA.
• Calipers are forged aluminum 4 piston style and supplied to us by Wilwood Engineering

This is what it’s all about, glad that insert fit like a glove!

After the LA Roadsters Show 2022, we had a chance to meet Bobby Walden, the founder of . He is well-known for his expert metal works and traditional style in the world of hot rodding . When build a 1932 Ford Roadster Pickup, Iman was inspired by Bobby’s bare metal1932 Ford RPU. Bobby has taught us a lot of fundamental lesson about how to build a hot rod properly.

Today July 14, 2017 one of the coolest, funniest, smartest, and talented person that I have had the pleasure and knowing as one of my closest friends, Bill Collings, passed away. Anyone that seriously plays guitar knows of Collings Guitars of Austin, Texas. Bill Collings unending imagination and passion created some of the finest guitars ever made. His passion to learn metal shaping brought our lives together. I am honored to have known him not only as a friend but a mentor as well. God Speed Bill Collings! BW

Floors for the 32 5w. To me what can’t be seen is just as important as what is seen. It’s either right or wrong, good or bad. Whichever one you choose to do is up to the person doing the work and of course if the customer wants to pay for really nice or wants crap. I won’t work for anyone that wants crap.
