A few holiday reminders from A. S. Electric, inc.

1. Remember when hanging up Christmas lights to always securely tape up the plugs ends of the cords to avoid water getting inside and causing nuisance trips to your GFCI.

2. Throw away any extension cords with frayed or exposed wires and never leave broken bulbs or empty sockets on energized wires. You don't want an animal or person to get zapped on accident or potentially cause a fire.

3. Save money and be courteous to your neighbors as well by purchasing a programmable plug in timer at a hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes, and of course Amazon. Then and set your lights to turn on at dusk and turn off when you go to bed that way you aren't running up your electric bill when nobody is around to enjoy your light

4. Don't wait until Christmas week to call for service! We work hard and do our best to meet our customers needs. Repairs were put off because it was working fine at the time. The Jaws that clamp to the meter eventually failed, causing electricity to arc, heating up everything inside the meter can until the whole thing blows up.

Don't put off repairs that could put you and your family in serious jeopardy!
