Remembering KEVIN 🌈 136 days. That’s how long Kevin experienced the purest form of unconditional love, but to him, it was everything. Kevin’s journey began in a heartbreaking way—dumped in a Rubbermaid tote and left to fend for himself. We can only wonder what his life was like before that moment. Did he once have a loving family who had to let him go? Perhaps he had known joy, or maybe he had only ever known hardship. The truth of his past is lost to us, but what we do know is that Kevin faced each day with a remarkable spirit. His resilience in the face of adversity was a testament to his strength and unwavering courage. To the Whitton Family, who welcomed Kevin into their lives knowing his time was short, we are eternally grateful for your incredible kindness. You gave Kevin the greatest gift—a family to call his own, a place where he felt cherished and loved. A heartfelt thank you to his fosters, Sarah and Steve, for not only rescuing Kevin from the shelter but also for nurturing him with boundless care and compassion. Your love and dedication, including the long journey to ensure he reached his forever home, made all the difference in his final days. Though Kevin’s time with us was brief, his impact was immense. 🌟 Beau’s Eye Update 🌟 We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news about our brave boy, BEAU! After his recent eye appointment with the specialist, we’re celebrating some miraculous progress. 🌈 His eye has shown no more visible ulcers, which is truly incredible! While we may not have hope for regaining sight in his right eye, the fantastic news is that his left eye has visible improvement and still holds potential for even more progress. We’re continuing his treatment with optimism and hope for further enhancement. 👁️✨ A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to Beau’s care. Your generous donations have made it possible for us to provide the medical attention he needed. We're so excited to share that BEAU is continuing to improve every day! He is the cutest, funniest little pug, and he's starting to play and act just like a PUG should. 🐶💕 Beau is now ready to move into a more permanent foster home for the next 4 weeks to give his eyes the time they need to heal. We're looking for a special someone who is home during the day and can give Beau the time and attention he needs. Beau gets along great with other dogs, but they should be low energy due to his eyesight. Although his sight hasn’t improved, Beau saw an eye specialist, and his eyes are visibly getting better. 👀 Beau has quickly adapted to his surroundings and is learning to navigate his world like a pro. His body is getting stronger every day, and his sweet personality is shining through. 🥰 He’s discovered a love for cuddles and has become the ultimate snuggle buddy. We are so proud of Beau’s progress and can’t wait to find him a foster-to-adopt home in the Jacksonville/St. Augustine area. Sweet BEAU 💙

Meet our newest rescue, BEAU. We knew his eyes were bad before we picked him up, but what wasn't mentioned was how unbelievably neglected he was. He's so skinny and malnourished that he can't even lift his leg to use the bathroom without stumbling. Of course, he has fleas and ticks, and he's limping—we still need to figure out why. But it's his eyes. Those poor pug eyes. We took him straight to the vet after picking him up to address immediate issues (he’s 13 lbs). He'll return Monday morning for a full evaluation. Last night, he was scared. Imagine living like that, not being able to see. But this morning, he wagged his tail when he heard my voice. We've got you now, sweet boy. This will never happen to you again. ❤️
