We’re excited to announce that after our “Name That Pug” fundraiser, Chunky Monkey has a new name! Please welcome TOBIAS, who will also be known as Tubby and Toby—this cutie is sure to gather even more nicknames along the way. Farley was a close second, followed by Ralphie, Brutus, Teddy, and then Bert.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and donated toward his medical bills. 🙏🏼 Your generosity means the world to us and Tobias. We promise to keep you all updated on his journey as he gets the care and love he deserves! 🐾💙

📣 Introducing Our Newest Rescue 🐾

This sweet boy was found as a stray in Miami. It breaks our hearts to share that he’s battling heartworm and will need extensive treatment to get back on his paws. In addition to heartworm treatment, he needs vaccinations, neuter, dental work, bloodwork, chest x-rays, and possibly surgery to remove some concerning masses on his legs. We’re committed to getting him strong and healthy, but we need your support to make it happen.

We’ve been calling him Chunky Monkey (a term of endearment, we promise, haha), but now it’s time to give him an official name—and we need your help to choose it!

To kick off fundraising for Chunky Monkey’s care, we’re hosting a fun "Name That Pug" fundraiser! Here’s how it works:

ROSCOE update: We spent the weekend getting Roscoe settled in his loving . These first few days are all about decompressing and making sure he feels safe and loved. ❤️ He’s dealing with some pretty rough skin issues, so he’s on medicated baths and medication to help clear that up. He’ll have the rest of his intake exam this week. Stay tuned for updates. 🐾

We want to give a special shoutout to Sammy, one of our youngest and most enthusiastic pug lovers! 💛 Sammy and his family first fostered and then adopted sweet OSCAR (Sammy’s bestie), and now they’re fostering our boy CHIEF. He loves telling his friends at school all about his pugs—who knows, we might have an entire class of future pug parents soon! 😂 We’re so grateful for the next generation of pug lovers like Sammy, who bring so much joy and love to our rescue. Keep spreading the pug love, Sammy! 🐾

🎉 Meet NACHO, our newest who just celebrated his 1st birthday this week! 🎉

This smart little guy is quickly learning the ins and outs of being a well-behaved pug, but he’s going to need an active home where his family will make sure he’s getting plenty of socialization outside of the home. It’s so important for young pugs like Nacho to get out and about—exploring new people, nature hikes, beaches, pet-friendly restaurants, all the things! They need to stimulate their minds and experience the world. Nacho’s not quite ready for adoption yet, but stay tuned for more details soon.

At just 8 months old, GUS is a bundle of crazy energy and endless curiosity. While he was loved in his previous home, he didn’t have much structure, so he’s now starting from scratch to learn the basics.

Gus isn’t quite ready for adoption yet, but when the time comes, we’ll be searching for an active family that can keep up with his enthusiasm. This sweet boy will need much more than just walks around the neighborhood—he’ll need plenty of socialization and opportunities to explore the world. Our process is simple and helps us ensure the best fit for both you and our pugs: just submit an application, provide vet records of your past pets, and once your vet records are approved we’ll schedule a house check. Getting pre-approved means you’ll be all set when that special pug comes along! 💖

CHIEF Update! 🦷✨ Our sweet big boy CHIEF had his dental done today and did great! No extractions were needed—just a thorough cleaning to give his teeth a fresh start as he prepares for his new life. Now that Chief’s pearly whites are sparkling, we’re officially starting the search for his forever home. He’s resting comfortably now, getting lots of love and attention. Stay tuned for more on this lovable guy! 🐾❤️

🌟 Sending all our love and well wishes to our beloved alumni, LOLA, as she undergoes surgery today to remove a large mass. Her incredible owners acted quickly and got it checked out right away, showing just how much they care for her. Thankfully, the mass is benign, but due to its size and the risk of it bursting, it’s being removed.

We’re so grateful to Lola’s amazing “mom and dad” for being the best fur parents ever! We love you, Lola, and wish you a speedy recovery! 💖🐾

🎉 Happy Friday, everyone! We have the most wonderful news to share today. Our sweet and resilient BEAU has found his forever home! His new family is perfect for him and already head over heels in love 💖 Beau, you deserve all this happiness and more. We can’t wait to see you continue to flourish. We all adore you! 🐾✨

COCO is so adorable 😍 She got to meet Beau’s fosters today in their home, giving her one more chance to experience the kindness and love people have to offer. 💖 She did so great and really felt their loving energy. We know we’ll find the perfect home for her, one that will provide all the socialization and love she needs to continue flourishing. 🐾



Coco is a Level 1: Requires an active family for socialization which includes engaging activities such as vacations, hikes, visits to restaurants, coffee shops, farmer markets, etc.

Tonight was perfect for a beach walk, so we took COCO for her first beach adventure. 🌊When you welcome a new rescue, especially one that’s a bit scared, it’s crucial to help them build confidence by introducing them to new experiences. Coco absolutely loved it! It’s amazing to watch rescues transform during the walk. We always take a moment to sit and let them soak it all in. Coco didn’t miss a thing and stayed close by my side. When she’s relaxed, her little ears are the cutest! 🥹 If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, Coco would be perfect. She needs patience as everything is new to her, but she is so worth it! 💖

Since rescuing COCO from a breeding situation, we’ve learned that she is the ultimate snuggle 😍 Once she learns to trust you, her tail spins like a pinwheel when she sees you, and she immediately wants belly rubs.

Coco has the potential to be a delightful mix of energy and affection. She would love hikes, walks, and any adventure you can think of, but she needs to be taught and gradually introduced to these activities. Despite her energy, she’s equally content cuddling in bed all day. She truly is the perfect combination! 💖

We are looking for a home for Coco that will continue to socialize her. Last night, we took her out of her comfort zone to an outdoor patio seating area. Although she was scared at first, she settled down and lay there like the perfect angel, taking it all in without moving. Coco is very dog-friendly and needs a home that will provide her with both adventures and socialization opportunities. No more babies for you, sweet Coco. We will find you the perfect home where you can thrive.

What a fantastic day we had at the Pet Supplies Plus Ice Cream Social! 🍨🐾 We loved meeting new faces and seeing some of our favorite pug lovers. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to share in the fun and show support for our pug pack. Your kindness and enthusiasm make all the difference! 🐶❤️

🚨Coco’s Intake Exam Update!🚨

Our sweet COCO had her first-ever vet visit last week, and she was such a brave girl! Despite being a bit nervous at first, she did so great once she realized she was in good hands. Considering she’s 4 years old and had NEVER been to a vet (even after having multiple litters), we made sure she got the works:

✨ Full Examination
✨ Vaccinations
✨ F***l Test
✨ Nail Trim
✨ Ear Cleaning
✨ X-Ray
✨ Full Panel Blood Test

We suspected she had a UTI due to frequent urinating with blood in her urine, so we did an X-ray to ensure she didn’t have bladder stones. Thankfully, she doesn’t, and she’s already improving with treatment! 🩺💊

Her blood test results were fantastic, and she’s heartworm negative! 🌟 Once Coco trusts and warms up to you, she is the happiest little dog. She’d be perfect for an active family, couple, or person looking for a loyal sidekick to have adventures with. 🐾❤️

🌈 With a heavy heart, we share the news that our beloved KEVIN has crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. This summer, Kevin was showered with unconditional love by his forever family, who adopted him despite his age and made his days incredibly special. We extend our deepest gratitude to his forever family and to Sarah and Steve, his dedicated fosters, who were all with him until the very end.

Our hope for all our rescues is that their remaining days, no matter how many, are filled with love and a family to call their own. Kevin experienced that and more. We are forever grateful.

Kevin’s family wrote some beautiful words about him that I’d like to share: “Today, we had to make the tremendously tough decision to say goodbye to our sweet boy, Kevin. When we signed up to adopt Kevin, we knew our time with him would be short. What we didn’t realize was the immeasurable amount of joy he would bring into our lives. He’s been a teacher of compassion, grace, and understanding. Kevin has taken a piece of our hearts, and his absence will be deeply felt.” ❤️‍🩹

🎉 Happy 3rd Birthday to our sweet alumni, TEDDY! 🎉 Teddy's journey with us began when he was rescued from a backyard breeder, arriving sick, scared, and in need of care. Watching him transform into the healthy, joyful pug he is today has been nothing short of amazing. Seeing him so happy with his forever family fills our hearts with pride and joy. We treasure these updates and celebrate every one of Teddy's milestones. Here's to many more happy years, Teddy! 🐾❤️
