Ladies and gentlemen, honored guests, and Wing Chun family,

Welcome to this special day: the inauguration of the Worldwide Leung Sheung Tong Wing Chun Confederation. Let’s give ourselves a big round of applause for being here today!

In 1964, I was just a high school kid when I joined the Wing Chun class of my teacher, Sifu Leung Sheung. I never dreamed that one day, I would be standing here as co-founder of this worldwide group, along with my peers in the Leung Sheung Wing Chun High Council, to honor this great man. This is a very happy moment for me.

In 1968, I met Sifu Ben Der by chance, and we began our Wing Chun journey together in North America. We saw the Leung Sheung lineage take root and grow in places like San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Rochester, Pittsburgh, Ohio, Houston, Florida, and more. Please forgive me if I didn’t mention your town or state. As part of this conference, we will celebrate those who are getting their instructor certificates. I am proud of them. It takes time and effort to learn the deep ideas of Wing Chun.

For over fifty years, we worked hard to teach thousands of people how to appreciate the wisdom of Leung Sheung Wing Chun and apply the concept. It has been my life long duty and joy to demystify and share this amazing art. To all followers of the Leung Sheung lineage, my message is simple: "Be Humble and Determined". It wasn’t always easy, and I hope you understand why I sometimes repeat myself like a broken record.

1964年，我還是一個高中生，加入了梁相師父的詠春班。那時候我從沒想到，有一天我會站在這裡，作為這個全球組織的創始人之一，與《世界梁相堂詠春長老會》同仁，一起紀念這位偉大的師父。今天真是讓人無比高興和激動的時刻。

1968年，我因緣際會遇見了同門謝永恩，於是我們一起開始了在北美洲傳承詠春的旅程。我們見證了梁相詠春在舊金山、聖荷西、西雅圖、洛杉磯、夏威夷、羅切斯特、匹茲堡、俄亥俄、休斯頓、佛羅里達等地生根發芽。如果我忘記提及您的城市或州，請見諒。今天，我們將為那些獲得教練證書的門人慶祝。我為他們多年來付出時間和努力學習詠春深奧理念感到無比驕傲。

五十多年來，我們一直努力不懈，教導成千上萬的人了解並應用梁相詠春的智慧和理念。這是我此生的責任和榮幸，去揭開這門藝術的神秘面紗並與大家分享。對於所有梁相詠春的追隨者，我送上簡單一句話：「保持謙遜，自強不息。」這總是不容易做到的，希望你們能理解我有時候會反覆強調。

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests, and colleagues in the martial arts community:

Since the launch of our LeungSheung.Com website on August 1st last year, our mission has been to promote the true essence, extensive principles, and comprehensive teachings of Leung Sheung Wing Chun. In just one year, we have been honored by the praise and recognition from martial arts enthusiasts worldwide. Our website has attracted tens of thousands of visitors and thousands of subscribers, all thanks to your unwavering support.

On this special day, August 1st, we are gathered here in the Greater Bay Area of California to celebrate the global assembly of Leung Sheung Wing Chun practitioners. With a commitment to preserving our cultural heritage, advancing with the times, and maintaining a humble and perseverant spirit, I am pleased to announce the official establishment of the Worldwide Leung Sheung Tong Wing Chun Confederation on August 1, 2024.

The goals of the Worldwide Leung Sheung Tong Wing Chun Confederation are as follows:
1. Cultural Preservation: Through our online platform LeungSheung.Com, we aim to connect and promote Leung Sheung Wing Chun schools worldwide. We will document the interpretations of Wing Chun by various generations within the Leung Sheung system, creating a comprehensive archive for all practitioners to learn from and reference.
2. Systematic Teaching: The Worldwide Leung Sheung Tong Wing Chun High Council will oversee specialized training and certification for instructors. We will rigorously evaluate teaching standards to ensure the highest quality of instruction and provide guidance for the future development of Leung Sheung Wing Chun.
3. Fostering Friendships: We will host regular global martial arts gatherings to promote the fusion of Leung Sheung Wing Chun and Chinese culture. These events will include martial arts cultural exchange trips to China, calligraphy courses, and Zen meditation retreats.
4. Charitable Efforts: We will establish the Leung Sheung Wing Chun Charitable Fund, conducting activities such as martial arts performances, charity fundraising, and distribution of daily necessities to help vulnerable groups, especially the elderly. This will honor the spirit of justice and selflessness exemplified by Sifu Leung Sheung.
5. Promoting Health and Wellness: We will set up the Leung Sheung Wing Chun Wellness Center, combining Wing Chun martial arts with modern medicine to promote health and wellness. The center will offer professional courses and regular health seminars to guide practitioners in improving their physical condition through Wing Chun training and sharing wellness practices to enhance quality of life.

Thank you all for your support and dedication. Together, we will continue to honor the legacy of Sifu Leung Sheung and advance the art of Wing Chun.

自去年8月1日，我們首次啟動了LeungSheung.Com網站，致力於弘揚《梁相詠春》的淵源精髓和廣博法道，我們非常感謝各位支持，短短一年內，網站已吸引了數以萬計訪客和以千計訂閱者。正值今年8月1日，全球梁相詠春門人在美國加州大灣區舉行盛大聚會，我很高興地宣布，《世界梁相堂詠春同學總會》正式成立。

《世界梁相堂詠春同學總會》的創會目標如下：

一、保育文化：通過互聯網平台LeungSheung.Com，連接並推廣世界各地《梁相堂》詠春武館，記錄梁相系統各代門人之詠春演繹，製作資料檔案，供門人學習參考。
二、系統教學：由《世界梁相堂詠春長老會》主理教練特訓與認證，嚴格審核師資，確保課程質量，並為梁相詠春未來發展提供指引。
三、以武會友：定期舉辦全球武術聚會，推廣梁相詠春與中華文化之融合，包括中國大陸武術文化交流之旅、書法課程、禪學靜修等。
四、以武集善：創立「梁相詠春慈善基金」，通過武術表演、公益募捐、日常必需品配送等活動，幫助弱勢群體，特別是老年人，弘揚梁相先生正義無私之精神。
五、以武養生：設立「梁相詠春養生中心」，結合詠春武術與現代醫學，推廣健康養生理念，提供專業課程與定期健康講座，指導門人通過詠春鍛煉改善體質，分享養生方法，提升生活質素。
