The Posse Foundation JVS of MetroWest Fresh Youth Initiatives Boys and Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic 'sPlace Palm Beach County Metropolitan Ministries

On July 11th, we were honored to host a Women’s Symposium at our Morristown Headquarters, sponsored by Valley’s WISE (Women Influencing Success & Empowerment) Associate Resource Group and our Women in Business program. This event celebrated the women trailblazers who are forging a path in our industry and inspiring other women to follow in their footsteps.

Over 125 attendees gathered at our Morristown Headquarters (and over 400 participated virtually at watch parties) to engage in a panel discussion with Valley’s own female trailblazers: Bernadette Mueller, Jen Yager, and Collyn Gilbert. Then, New Jersey Senator Britnee Timberlake shared her journey in becoming the state’s first female senator. Karen Watai, author of “Lead Your Way” and founder of Welcome Change, LLC, provided interactive career coaching exercises. The celebration concluded with keynote speaker Sarah Youngwood sharing her experiences navigating the male-dominated banking space as the current CFO of Nasdaq and former CFO of JPMorgan Chase.

Participants walked away with a better appreciation of the challenges women face in today’s workplace and with the tools, guidance and support they need to blaze their own trails moving forward.
