Dr. Jordan Paynter is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon with deep roots in Georgia. he continued his education at the University of Georgia before relocating to Augusta for nine years of rigorous training at the Medical College of Georgia. There, he earned his medical degree and completed an orthopedic surgical residency, graduating as a member of the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

It is with great sadness to announce the untimely passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Scott Sanders on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Scott’s unexpected death yesterday is a shock that leaves our hearts heavy with mourning and empathy to his loved ones.

Scott was an incredible husband, father, friend, and an exceptional physician assistant that was dedicated to excelling in each. One of his greatest joys in his work was to see the patients come out of his doors better than they came in. He took great care to get to know his patients and their stories. The countless patients under Scott’s care throughout the years exclaim how his pleasant and professional demeanor gave them comfort and relief. While our practice and the Statesboro community are without such an incredible colleague, our hearts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
