Myakka Mighty Manatees
Welcome to Myakka River Elementary, home of the Mighty Manatees! This page is a great way to communicate with our parents and community.
CCPS is thrilled to introduce Peachjar, our new innovative digital communication tool! Beginning June 20, school-approved flyers will be sent directly to guardian emails. Additionally, the community can easily access these flyers by clicking the Peachjar button on each school and district homepage, creating a convenient virtual bulletin board for everyone!
This initiative will save a significant amount of paper and reduce costs for our community partners. Beyond financial savings, it will alleviate the administrative burden on teachers, office staff, and volunteers. Additionally, it will provide families and community members with an easy and effective way to access important information, supporting our District Strategic Priority 3 of fostering strong community partnerships and enhancing communication.

If you didn't get your 2023-2024 yearbook, we have a limited quantity available for $20 each. Just send your child to the office (or come in yourself!) to purchase a copy. Remember, graduating 5th graders do not need to order one as their dues cover it. Books will be sold first-come, first-served!
This morning we celebrated the retirement of Mrs. Solomon. We are so grateful for her dedication and service that she has provided to our Mighty Manatees over the years. She will be missed and we wish her the best on her next adventure.

The Myakka Marketplace had to move and is now located in the Leadership Lounge. The Marketplace is a special store for our student shoppers. If's a fun place for our students to have a few dollars to spend all on their own. We see a lot of Tooth Fairy Money, allowance dollars and often mom or dad's change cup! Nothing is over $5 and the majority of items are between $1-$2.
Please note: We only take cash, no class money, monopoly money debit, credit or checks allowed!
The store will be in the Leadership Lounge and will be open from 7:50-8:15.
