Veterans... Looking to get active? Join Team VIAC. Amazing things are happening.

We have been so grateful to be part of this annual one of a kind event. We have watched the Burning Snowman Fest grow and grow throughout the years, and it keeps getting better. Thank you for all you do to support the community and specially our Team VIAC veterans programs. As we continue to grow, the burning snowman fest will always be remembered as a big part of that success.

Getting our feet wet with virtual classes and streaming.

Team VIAC welcomes new trainer Dale Blount. Dale obtained an associate in fitness & nutrition from the Professional Career Development Institute. He has experience in competitive bodybuilding and years of fitness instruction. Dale has a passion for overall wellness and holistic healing.

We are looking for help.
If you like being active or want to become more active, we can use some aid. Our exploits include hiking, mountaineering, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, and more. This year we hope to include sky diving, and scuba.
We are also looking for someone with experience in cinematic photography and filming.

What is seasonal affective Disorder (SAD)?

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a condition associated with feeling sad or blue during certain times of the year. It is a disorder that triggers symptoms of depression, most commonly in the fall or winter. In the fall and winter there is less sunlight, hence it is sometimes called winter depression.

Psychiatrists and other mental health clinicians diagnose depression by documenting low or sad mood, irritability, feeling of guilt or shame, problems with sleep, poor concentration or attention (memory problems), low energy or motivation, poor appetite and thoughts off self-harm.

SAD can mimic other medical conditions, such as anemia, hypothyroidism, diabetes, infections. Hence a medical work up may be needed--including levels of some vitamins, like vitamin D.
