We are transitioning the Gator Club's name from Gator Club of Volusia County to Daytona Beach Gator Club.
The Gator Club of Volusia County is an affiliate of the University of Florida Alumni Association. Membership in the Gator Club of Volusia County is free with your membership in the University of Florida Alumni Association. The Gator Club of Volusia County was originally organized in the 1950’s, then known as the Daytona Beach Chapter of the UF Alumni Association under president Max Cleland. In 1963, Bert “Gator” Reames took over as club President, and paved the way for the club’s official charter with the University of Florida Alumni Association, which was issued on July 1, 1970. The club’s goals are to raise scholarships for Volusia County students attending the University of Florida, and to grow the Gator Nation locally. If you’re interesting in volunteering with the club, please feel free to contact us at: [email protected]. The mission of the Gator Club of Volusia County is to foster and enhance the relationship between the University of Florida, its Alumni, Students and friends in Volusia County, and to support the University’s mission of teaching, research and service. The Gator Club of Volusia County is an Affiliated Organization of the University of Florida Alumni Association.
