Did you know??

The Lakeside Jazz Festival was founded to provide scholarships to local band students who attend summer music & leadership camps. However, it quickly added another element:

College & University recruiting

After each stage performance, all performing ensembles get direct feedback and time to work with a professor from a prestigious jazz program in the state of Florida.

Straight from the Parris Island Marine Band, it's The Dirty Boots Brass Band hitting the stage!

This mobile group of 8-12 Marines brings the house down with their mix of Jazz, Swing, Rock, and other contemporary styles of music.

🎶 Saturday April 20th @ 5:30pm - Florida State University Jazz Ensemble I 🎺

Making the trip from 📍Tallahassee, FL is the renowned Florida State Jazz Ensemble I under the direction of Leon Anderson!

FSU Jazz Ensemble I was recently invited to and performed at the Jack Rudin Jazz Festival hosted by Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. In addition, they hold regular concerts on campus at FSU, most recently with guest artists such as guitarist Mike Moreno.

Spruce Creek High School, Atlantic High School, & Silver Sands Middle School are proud to present the 25th annual Lakeside Jazz Festival! Join us at the Port Orange City Center for 2 days of swingin’ middle and high school bands from around the state of Florida, as well as the best collegiate level big bands in the state!

Lakeside | Lakeside Jazz Festival | Port Orange Lakeside Jazz Festival is the premier Jazz Festival for Middle School and High School students in the Southeastern United States. This annual festival is held each in April in Port Orange, Florida.
