Rock band night at Port Orange Music Academy 🎸🥁🤘

WOW!!! 🎸🎹🥁🎺🎵🎶😍 What an incredible week of concerts! We are beyond proud of these young Port Orange Music Academy musicians 🥰.

They worked hard all year, overcame many difficult obstacles and put on our best end of the year concert ever. Guitar and piano on Monday was our biggest concert to date with over 50 students performing in one night. They performed a little of everything, from Bach to Beethoven, Nirvana to Van Halen, and so much more 🤘. There are so many outstanding performances to share with you so stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram accounts for some stunning highlights.

Thank you so much to all the students for all the hard work, and their families for keeping them in the arts. Words can’t describe the joy we take in teaching and mentoring these young minds here at Port Orange Music Academy. Stay tuned for announcements about our summer camp and more. Concert week!!! These Port Orange Music Academy students have been working so hard all year, they can’t wait to show off their stuff! It’s going to be one of the best POMA concerts ever.

*REMINDER* Students need to show up at 5:15 dressed nice with their instrument, music, stands and any other materials they need for the concert. The concert starts at 6. Your child’s concert date will be on the same day they normally have rehearsal. So if they normally have rehearsal on Monday, be there Monday at 5:15, and if Thursday then be there Thursday at 5:15.

We ask that you please stay for the whole concert, and don’t hang out in the lobby while performances are going on. We will try to keep the concerts to less than an hour so please stay and support all the students who have worked so hard. They deserve it! Thank you!!!

Also, have your child bring any remaining POMA bucks they have, with their name written on it, to put in the raffle.

ATTENTION: We will not be having classes this week for Spring Break (3/25-3/29). We hope every one enjoys the week off and we’ll return to normal schedule on Monday April 1st!

Mr. Clowers still loves teaching these kids every year! Without him, there wouldn’t be a POMA, and there wouldn’t be nearly as many talented musicians in Port Orange. He brought up generations of musicians as a band director at Spruce Creek Elementary, and continues to do so here at POMA. Thank you for everything Mr. Clowers, you’re the best! 🙌
