Student loan bail-out?
By the numbers:
1. The president's Student debt relief is $400 billion.
2. 61% = Current rate of people receiving a paycheck in August 22
3. US population = 329.5 million according to the 2020 census.
4. So 0.61 x our population = the number of people legally earning money in the USA which equates to 200,995,000.
5. Divide the cost of the student loan debt by the number of people earning money in the USA. $400 billion/200,995,000 = $1990.01
6. Everyone making money in America will pay $1990.01.

So everyone paying taxes wether they went to college or not and those who paid off their debt will now be on the hook for almost $2000. It seems we are rewarding people who are running away from commitment. On the other hand those who had hundreds of thousands of dollars in loans will see a reduction in debt payment to only $1990.01. This seems to be as unconstitutional as it gets.
I believe the colleges need to dig into their endowments and assist students. All colleges need to consider reducing college education costs. I also think some High school grads may want to enter skilled jobs and learn as an apprentice to a plumber, carpenter, electrician, mechanic, mortician etc...
