This Veterans Day, we honor and express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. Their commitment to defending our freedoms and protecting democracy is truly commendable.

House Democrats, led by Hakeem Jeffries, stayed united while House Republicans splintered under the pressure of the MAGA crowd and their desire for destruction. For the first time in our history, the Speaker of the House has been voted out of their position.

Following this weekend's last-minute save by House Democrats to keep the government open, McCarthy went on weekend shows and blamed the Democrats for allowing the situation to get out of hand instead of placing the responsibility at the feet of the House Republicans who were willing to let our military, border control, air-traffic controllers and countless other government employees go unpaid and Social Security checks to be stalled indefinitely.

McCarthy's incompetent leadership led to mutiny within the House Republicans and no Democrats to turn to for help.

Just one more example of the impact of Donald Trump. He ushered in chaos and it is reigning in the House. We cannot afford 4 more years of him or anyone like him.
