The song is a mash-up of the Jim Carroll Band’s “It’s Too Late” and Jefferson Airplanes “Somebody to Love”.

I’ll leave interpretation to you, but highlight at its core it’s a commentary on loss of innocense/love and disillusionment (with lots of subtexts). Of course with any art the message and interpretation is with the audience.

Our final round of shooting on our Dry Wells documentary took us to Candys home where she has 3 dry wells after the arrival of big Agra such as Reznick and J. Lohr.

These big vineyard growing operations have exponentially grown and are drawing from the Paso Basin. Simultaneously local residents and family farms wells started and are increasingly going dry.

While visiting Candys home, we had the honor of a visit from Harold Eades, a water diviner. We were able to capture his process of using divining rods in search of water.

McGinty's Ascent Productions and ShadoWalker Media onsite interviewing Carol Rowland (also interviewed in Water & Power: A California Heist). Her well has been going dry and her beautiful property is severely water rationed (eg no more gardens, short baths, limited laundry, and drying trees). The remarkable correlation to surrounding Big Agra growth and the depletion of her wells is a captivating story that will be discussed in our dry Wells documentary.

McGinty's Ascent Productions and ShadoWalker Media had another excellent production day and an interview with Susan about the Paso Basin water rights issues. We chose a blue key light to emphasize the issue of water. Look for more reels to come as we go into post production on this segment of The Dry Wells of Templeton:a Tragedy of the Commons.

A great production day with Sheila O'Rourke of McGinty's Ascent Productions and our interviewee, Murray. The second part of our production day involved shooting mobile in a vehicle while perusing local corporate vineyards. Murray has a wealth of knowledge. While doing drone work over a Resnik vineyard that stretched for miles in all directions, we located 4 private reservoirs (probable that there are more). Within a few miles of one of our main subjects property whose wells ran dry within a wet short period of time after the vineyard craze in the area.

ShadoWalker Media and McGinty's Ascent Productions Shooting on location at Gregs Ranch. Greg a LA retired Firefighter has taken great care and study on water issues for the Paso Basin. A water basin exploited by big Agra for water hungry vineyards whilst the local landowners wells are running dry. So far, litigation and local councils have faced the needs of the landowners, but also have to deal with closed door policies and big Agras exploitation of a resource is supposed to be for public use. We are documenting the history, the issues and the current actions relating to local water management, a scarce resource in the Dry Wells of Templeton: a Tragedy of the Commons.
