We are taking the weekend off because my sister (who has been the most amazing helper this summer) is heading off on a new contract and she will be gone for 7 months! If you’ve been to any of my events this summer, you’ve probably seen Michaela being the most amazing & supportive big sis ever - could not have done half of what we did this summer without her!! This is a long post as I have a lot to say regarding events of the past weekend. Advance thanks for reading through to the end. ☺️

First, WE ARE GRATEFUL!
Our hearts are full! We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the community, both near and far after our weekend at the Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival! (FB can sometimes be a positive place!)

⚡️Thank you to everyone who came to show support with hugs, referrals, and tips on Sunday because of my sister’s Facebook post. 🥹

THEFT & SILVER LINING
In short, on Saturday night, our pop-up shop was visited by a small group of school-aged girls who stole over $1K in custom jewelry pieces. It was witnessed, they were confronted, they ran. We went to the police onsite. They had left the property. It was shocking, emotional, heartbreaking, and traumatizing. We’ve had could’ve, should’ve, would’ve scenarios play on repeat in our minds, but we can’t go back in time, so, we’ve chosen to focus on THE SILVER LINING which is that the most generous and kind-hearted people have now come into our lives - YOU!

We are so incredibly moved by the good people of Lewiston/Auburn, and their friends. It is unfortunate we experienced such brazen theft as it is violating to have anything stolen from you whether it’s from your home, your car, or your business. We are forever changed by this, but it will not define us and we will continue to move onward and upward.

We refuse to let the actions of a few young thieves tarnish the reputation of the community as a whole—because everyone else we met was incredibly lovely!!! Aside from our unfortunate theft, the city put on a wonderful event and we really enjoyed ourselves!
