Sometimes when you just sit back and let the moments unfold, the sweetest most genuine things seem to happen. For instance we were waiting to cross the street in a very busy downtown and I looked to my side and captured these two truly soaking eachother in immensely without any prompts.

I have a question for you?

Have you been debating about seeing eachother before the ceremony or saving it for the aisle? Whatever decision you make will not affect how we photograph you on your wedding day at all and each are beautiful moments in their one way.

When I chat with my couples about their photo timeline and mention that they will be missing their cocktail hour when deciding not to see one another prior to the ceremony along with family portraits. Most of the time that’s a big deal for couples as they want to enjoy the festivities as much as possible and may be the only time they really get to chat with their guests.

Sometimes weddings can really be consuming of all the things, and with so much going on, this may also be the only chance you get to just be and maybe you and your new husband or wife want that time to be alone and have some quiet before the festivities begin.

Then when the first time you see eachother is heading down that aisle flooding with so much emotion, there is something so utterly beautiful and traditional about that as well.

Either way…. It’s your wedding, do what’s most important to you, soak it in however you see fit. I promise you, either way, your wedding is always captured as unique as you both are 💕

We may have had only a few moments for portraits but we made it count💕 even upon heading back to their reception, I took advantage of that time and had Mariam look back at me and vaolla!

Pro Tip: Crunched on time for portraits? Be sure you have a spot pre-picked out for your bride and groom portraits and stick around that area. Keep shooting, with a few key poses and some fun movement you could still capture some beautiful imagery I promise.

Have I told you how much I love being on the Puget Sound? I met these two cuties in one of their favorite spots, where they have spent a lot of time making memories together.

What started as a sunny morning, the PNW weather turned into a misty, cloudy afternoon and we embraced it. Mariam and Darrin walked, talked, shared opinions on what song their first dance will be to…. Btw it’s a toss up and I’m excited to hear the final verdict 😉 oh and we almost had raw oysters RIGHT out of the Sound and ofcourse hoped to see an Orca make its grand entrance behind them right as they shared a kiss, ha!
