The MASSIVE dangers of lash serums…..I’m talking about it on YouTube today.
There are ingredients in many lash serums that cause peri-orbital fat loss. Hollowing around the eyes. I know some of you know this, but for those who don’t….it’s really important to know so that you don’t inadvertently cause irreversible damage to the area around the eyes.
There are lash serums that are prostaglandin-free, that don’t do much at all (waste of money) and then there are a few lash serums that WORK, but are prostaglandin-free (what we want😊).
If you use a lash serum please check the ingredients.
Huge lawsuits have been settled over this…..it’s no joke and I hope re-evaluates their lash game.

It’s a 100% mineral filter SPF (zinc 4.9% and titanium dioxide 13.7% PLUS vitamin E as an antioxidant and iron oxides that will help protect again visible light damage). Sooooo much better than Chanel. The color (Honey) is neutral (which is why I tried it this way to start….it’s far too dark to wear as a foundation for me but so perfect as a bronzer for my light/medium complexion. If you’re darker than me you may love this as a foundation!). The cream to powder formula dries down velvet matte-not flat, not dry.

I have such a love for books 📚
In the last five years, more specifically: aesthetic/health books.
I am always amazed at the tiny kernels of wisdom that can be plucked off a page somewhere in the middle of a good book. It is inspiring and it is fundamental to me as a human being.

Heatless curls.
Remember yesterday’s lemon water post? Well this lazy girl JUST removed those braids (when I said heatless curls for later I guess I meant a DAY later 😂).
A couple take-aways:
1. Looser braids would be more “beachy” (duh. Next time!)
2. I loved using a texture mousse before I braided and after the braids were in. I used texture mousse and then today I sprayed the Aiir texture spray and shine spray in before finger combing my hair. (on recommendation from - she did a reel on this! Check her out. A great Instagram hair account to follow).
Looser braids would have looked better with the straighter ends too- so that’s my plan next.
I have a goal to only heat style my hair once a week-likely when I film YouTube videos. For this style I put in one single wave right at my bangs. Other than that, ZERO heat. 🥰
Other things I’m doing for my hair:
Laser helmet 4-5 days a week, 20 minutes a day. More on that soon.
I am going to start supplements. I just bought them recently, will report back in a couple months.
holi(mane) hair skin nails supplement on recommendation of my friend Rachel. Check out her Instagram page-you’ll be enchanted with her 🥰🥰🥰. She has a code for Agent Nateur-it’s Agentrachel (I used it to pick up my goodies too).
Of course I can’t leave out that takes such good care of me and my hair on the regular. He is my extension specialist and colorist 🤩

I woke up this morning puffy and grouchy 🙎♀️. I wonder what could be going on? 🤔😂
I opted to throw in some braids so that I will have heatless curls later and made myself a large glass of lemon water. 💦
🍋Did you know that lemons are a source of potassium? Potassium is a mineral that can help with headaches, bloating, anxiety and blood pressure (among other things).
🍋Lemons can also help with inflammation and provide some antioxidant protection with vitamin C.
🍋For me, adding lemons to water make it tastier and I’m able to drink a LOT more water… which will help flush out excess fluid that is making me feel/look puffy.
📝 Do note that WARM lemon water can be very hard on tooth enamel. COLD water with lemon is much better on your teeth. After you drink your cold lemon water rinse with plain water, and wait a little while to brush your teeth (in case the lemon water softened your enamel).
To further de-puff: consider Gua sha or other facial massage and alternate cool and warm compresses to get the lymph moving ❤️
🧊 I also love ice globes, my trusty ice roller, and microcurrent to move lymph off the face.

🍃Have you heard of SILYMARIN?
🍃Silymarin is the main active component in the herb milk thistle.
Who might benefit from silymarin/milk thistle?
🙋♀️🙋♂️ Acne prone skin may benefit from milk thistle/Silymarin due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
🙋♀️🙋♂️ If you would like to boost your UV protection silymarin/milk thistle is a great ingredient to see in a product due to its antioxidant potential (scavenges free radicals).
🙋♂️🙋♀️ Have excess pigment? Silymarin has major potential in the fight against hyperpigmentation. Even in extremely low percentages (think under 2%) silymarin can have a very positive effect on unwanted pigment.
👀 Look for milk thistle or silymarin in your products. You’ll often find this ingredient in antioxidant rich products.

🐝Niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3 is one of my long time favorite ingredients.
❄️ If you live in a place where winter is approaching dare I say it’s even more important than ever to get a little niacinamide in to your skincare routine.
Why?
🐝Niacinamide promotes the production of ceramides which are integral to a healthy barrier function.
💦A healthy barrier function means less TEWL (trans-epidermal water loss)…..less TEWL means better hydration and better skin.
💦Better hydration also means better texture (think about the difference between bouncy, hydrated skin and parched skin….).
🐝Niacinamide helps regulate oil production and can help improve the appearance of pores (there’s that barrier function again….and oil regulation….all things that
contribute to refined looking pores).
🐝Niacinamide also helps reduce unwanted pigment….and it does it in a way that is different than other pigment inhibitors. This means if you are using hydroquinone, tranexamic acid, licorice, arbutin etc then niacinamide will act as an aid to those inhibitors. Pretty cool.
👀Look for the ingredient in your existing skincare-you only need 2-5% so if it’s in a product or two already you do not need a separate niacinamide product.
