It's our penultimate Sunday!! Becky and Scott are cooking!! We have huevos rancheros!! And souvenir pint glasses!! Woot!!!

Friends, unfortunately we have to be closed today due to unforeseen circumstances. We will be open on Thursday, and on through Valentine's Day, except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

After 15 wonderful years, we have decided that our last day of business at Detour Cafe will be Sunday, February 14, 2016.

We want to thank all of the lovely people who have come through these doors over the years. Detour Cafe has been a beautiful experience and we look forward to continuing the many friendships we have made here.

We also plan to continue making friends, and good food, right down the street at our sister cafe, Ford Food and Drink, at SE 11th and Division. Look for some Detour favorites to appear on the menu there soon!

Please don’t be sad that we are moving on…be joyful that we had this time together. We will always treasure it!

We're sad to announce that we lost a family member last night. Bruce Heino, a founding Street Roots vendor, sold most days outside New Seasons Market on N Killingsworth and 33rd, where he was loved by many customers and friends. Asked in one word what Street Roots meant to Bruce he said, "Relationships." Any reflections on Bruce can be emailed to [email protected]

Two things real quick: we're back to our regular hours (8am-3pm every day but Tuesday). And, we are hiring at our sister cafe, Ford Food + Drink! Looking for an experienced barista/bartender who can work weekends. If this is you, bring in your resume!

We survived the tropical heat wave! Starting today, we will return to our normal business hours: 8am-3pm daily, except Tuesdays. Just stay in bed on Tuesdays, cuz we aren't open.

Ok but seriously. We are going to close by 2pm (instead of 3pm) until the heat wave is over. I'm not saying the Detour kitchen is hot, but a hobbit came by and threw a ring into it.

This woman came back TWICE to settle up for her breakfast after OUR fussy credit card machine didn't work. In a time when you sometimes think about losing faith in humanity, it's nice to know that our customers are still the raddest.
