Part 4
At this point, I had been doing this for a while and I was getting way better at seeing the image "between the lines" quicker so I could focus my efforts and come out with a much more refined look💅🏾..
All of the drawings in this series are from the same sketchbook but I had been drawing these in random notebooks and folders for years at this point and I had really gotten in a groove💃🏾

Part 3
This set includes one of my 2 favorite pen drawings I ever did.
It's called "Orange Dusk" because at 1st I saw a beautiful mountain sunset like one in Colorado!🌄
Upon further inspection, it's actually a cool ass dude with a Sombrero and some Locs with a poncho blowing in the wind🍃😂 and it's my favoritetest😊
The other two not so much but🤷🏾‍♀️
"Paper Inferno" looks like paper.. on fire lol
"Sea Thing" is some sort of dolphin squid situation😂 probably my least favorite one lol

Some backstory..
I was initially inspired to do these by a foreign exchange student that went to my school in the 8th grade..
I'll try to show the drawing that she gave me if I can find it by the end of this series but I absolutely loved them and her.. she was so coo!

I used to do these pen drawings in high school and my early 20's (I put the school note from the back page for reference😂)

I made this some time around circa 2005-ish..
I was doing a little art (pen drawings that I'll post at some point) but mostly working on music and hyper-focused..
I wrote this affirmation to set my day and I used to say it near every morning. I think it was pivotal in how focused and organized I was because I was reassuring myself as a practice on a daily basis..
I recently pulled it back out and now it has a home in my studio after many years in storage..

My mom was gone for almost a year traveling and then living in Texas to help take care of my great-grandmother "Grammuh" as she transitioned..
This was the hardest year of my life for MANY reasons and it doesn't seem to matter how old I get, I always want my mommy. Especially when I'm down and in pain...not having her near was harder than I would even acknowledge sometimes.
I painted this 4 days after she got back home...if "I'm happy" was a painting😂😊
She asked to have it so, of course, it's hers and she's going to add a dragonfly to it. That's kind of our "family animal" lol long story...anywaysss Like&Follow❗❗😊👩🏾‍🎨💜
