We installed these two sets of stairs in downtown Portland 10 years ago. I recently got to go back to see them, and they are looking as amazing as ever.

This was a pretty fun one we originally completed with a white marble shower floor. They recently had us back to add the black & white marble to the shower floor to give the shower a little more character.

We were honored to participate in the 2024 Artisans Revolution in Tile (A.R.T) training this week and had such an amazing time with so many amazing people. This week long event is definitely helping push forward the artistry side of our trade. It takes a tremendous effort to make these events happen, and we are looking forward to do our part to keep it growing.

Going to trade shows like Coverings 24’ in Atlanta is always an inspiring experience. This year was extra special as my wife Robin and employee Alex attended their first show. I was a speaker for the discussion “Realities of Working with Tile in Custom Home Project”, and there was also lots of networking with everyone involved in the Tile Artisan movement. Being involved with our trade is more than just being a tile company trying to make a profit. It’s being part of a family as we work together to elevate our trade.

A sneak peak at our most recent porcelain slab (gauged porcelain tile panel) project. The ceilings were 10.25’ high and these massive slabs fully covered that height with no seams or grout joints.

Flagstone work isn’t easy. It takes lots of experience and an eye for detail to get an installation that will stand the test of time and is visually appealing with a flowing natural pattern. Now imagine it being installed inside. We love how this one turned out.

We had a training day this past Monday. I ❤️ days when our team can all get together as we are usually spread all over town. We were working on mitering and creating some educational videos for the apprenticeship program we are a part of.

Another look at these tile art murals in downtown Vancouver we completed a little over a year ago. This was such a fun project for our team.

We just love this one and the wonderfully handmade tiles from Pasadena Craftsman Tile.

We absolutely love all the details and colors featured in these two custom baths.

Classic & clean. We love how this herringbone pattern with Bedrosian’s Cloe tile turned out.

This fireplace turned out pretty hot. We love the marble patterns of diamonds, stars, and hexagons.

This was a fun project we completed recently. Our installer Adam did great job with all the detail work.

Our apprentice Patricia Guinn was featured in this month’s Tile Letter as a Rising Star. We are very proud of her and are happy she got to share such an inspiring story.

Patricia Guinn’s path to tile apprenticeship started as an elementary school teacher, journeying through a private catering and business prep company, working as a mason trades finisher with the union, and choosing to take the tile finisher program at Columbia River Tile and Stone.
