Completed project with Green Light Construction featuring 1” hexagon mosaic tile installed in a custom floral pattern. 2“ x 8” subway porcelain wall tiles with a 1” x 12” black gloss liner. Grout and setting materials by Ardex and finished with black Schluter aluminum trim at the exposed wall tile edge. An excellent combination for an approachable & sophisticated design!
Installing this unique fluted marble marked a satisfying achievement for our team. Notice the attention to detail with the precise cuts, intentional layout and placement of the outlets – the pattern in the marble ingeniously mirrors the plate covers and contrasts beautifully with wood accents and artisan ceramics. One of the more challenging installs we have done and we couldn’t be happier with how it all came together.

Level Plane's first tile job working with Rodkat was a unique project for The Ace Hotel, a beautifully renovated historic hotel in downtown Portland, OR. It was a great introduction and a perfect example of how foam can make tile jobs easier and more efficient.
We had 26 showers to build with pans of all different shapes, sizes, and drain locations that could not be moved. There was no elevator access, three floors to tile, and we needed to minimize dust. Rod's team made every shower pan to the exact dimensions we provided, saving us an immeasurable amount of time and energy. This project proved the product to be a game changer.
Fast forward several years and we created Pacific Foam, an affiliate of Rodkat, to bring custom foam innovations to tile setters in the PNW. We believe the product to be revolutionary in many situations and are excited to bring these customized solutions to tiles setters in the region.
Flashback to a fun project that brought some creativity during the pandemic. We proudly installed this unique custom backsplash for Apposite Architecture. Tiles by Clayhaus Tile.

It’s been an incredible privilege and honor to be given the opportunity to work with so many talented builders in the area and grow our company. This has been our biggest year yet and we don’t take any of it for granted. Happy 4th of July everyone! Be safe and be kind.
It feels unnecessary to mention the challenges and difficulties we faced this year as a company and as individuals. Instead I want to celebrate the hard work and dedication from our team through it all and the great fortune of being able to keep everyone busy the entire year. December was unexpectedly the busiest month to date for the company and 2021 is already looking to be a solid year for us. Fingers crossed. I want to give a huge shoutout to .the.world and .tile as well as Rude, Alex B and Gary. We could not have met the demands of our work load without them. Cheers to the New Year and I truly wish everyone the absolute best in 2021.
Here’s an special little project we did for in NW Portland. Island Stone glass in the shower and art niche, zero entry shower with a linear drain and envelope cuts. Lots of detail and a layout that couldn’t have worked out much better. This one was scheduled to be in the before the pandemic. We are proud of this one! photo by @ Portland, Oregon

Sometimes we get the fun projects where we can put on shorts and play with hex shapes and ancient patterns for a hall breezeway.
We are very proud to be a part of the JATC apprenticeship program and to have Em, Ian, and Andrea participating in the three year course.
Tile is only a surface. Without proper prep and waterproofing you can run into moisture issues and potential failures. Here we have Ian showing the importance of protecting substrates in wet areas before the tile installation. We go the extra mile to ensure quality and longevity. @ North Portland, Oregon
Quality craftsmanship and a long lasting tile installation on every job is what we guarantee.

eliminate grout joints, and create a smooth, cleanable surface with minimal grout joints.
