Some days working toward your goal looks like a heavy lift day, some days it’s stretching, some days are for complete recovery. Progress might not look linear.

Movewell Mobility classes are a great compliment to your weekly workout routine. We host one every Monday and Wednesday at 6pm and every Saturday at 9:30am. Come join us and see what the hype is all about!

HOME COOKED ✨ Ready to get a little healthier? Get a little comfier in your kitchen! Some people hate it, some are intimidated some are just confused 🤪
Any way you slice it, home cooking a few times per week can definitely reduce your caloric intake, increase the vitamins and nutrients you consume and in general help you gain more control over your nutrition.

Should I take Protein Powder?🥤
This is such a common question and the short answer is maybe, maybe not…
…for the long answer, keep reading 😉

Protein is definitely an important nutrient in a balanced diet that helps you stay strong, recover well and maintain a lean bodyweight. Some people have a hard time getting in their recommended protein, but not everyone. In general, we’d recommend getting your nutrients from natural, whole ingredients (real food) before supplementing, but for those who have a hard time getting enough, a protein powder can be an excellent snack or workout recovery.

Want to try a protein supplement? Here’s our suggestions:
1.) Log/track your food for a day and find out if you’re adequately meeting your daily protein goal or not.
2.) Select a protein powder that is low in added ingredients, ‘clean’.
3. Start slowly. Not everyone’s tummy does well with all types of protein or even that much protein at once. Start with a half serving to make sure you’re digestion is happy.

Btw, my favorite way to enjoy protein powder is in a smoothie. The one above has ice, green leafy veg, blueberries, vanilla protein and soy milk ☺️

“Is it bad if I eat pizza?” 🍕
My client asked me this last week and as a pizza lover myself, I encouraged her to go ahead and enjoy a slice!
🍕From years of being shamed for eating any greasy, “bad” foods, we get that a lot of people are worried about these foods ruining their diets.
🍕Your meal plan should be sustainable. If you find yourself wanting to binge or “cheat” regularly, we’d suggest a gentler approach.
🍕Find a balance in your diet that feeds your body with lots of nutrients but also allows for life’s social events, time crunched lunches and occasional splurges.
🍕Do your best to get in those veggies, lean proteins and lots of water most days…but if you’re craving a slice - HAVE A SLICE! 🤤🤩😋

We are looking for experienced Personal Trainers! If you've been training and instructing for a few years and are ready to take the next step, we're looking for a lead Trainer with experience and drive to sell training, motivate clients and help build a great team!
About us:
We are a fitness studio in Downtown Portland. We believe in Training that is uniquely designed for our clients with a balance of strength and restoration so they feel their absolute best. We make sure our clients feel welcome in a low pressure environment that celebrates movement.
Our Trainers instruct great sessions with knowledge and ability to make clients feel comfortable while addressing their physical needs and goals with great program design.
Trainer Qualifications include:
-3 + years of Personal Training experience
-Great communication skills
-Self starting, comfortable working alone or with a team
-Confident explaining programming & selling appropriate packages
-Ability to maintain and retain clients
-Valid CPR and Training certification required
-Valid proof of Covid 19 vaccination required
· Group class experience is a bonus
Certified nutritionist is a bonus
· Licensed massage therapist is a bonus
Position entails:
-12 - 20 Training sessions per week
-Acquiring and selling and client program development for an additional 5 - 10 hours per week (with opportunities to increase!)
-Instructing great sessions with knowledge and ability to make clients feel comfortable and at home while addressing their physical needs and goals
-Service and hospitality taken to the next level
-Aiding the team in creation of Training department guidelines and standards
Hourly pay between $25 - $35 depending on experience and performance.

After a many years exercising and living in the United States we noticed something - American's work really REALLY hard. We work so hard that we're often exhausted, strung out and rarely enjoy good energy. We noticed this epidemic bleeding into the fitness culture - always striving to work harder, longer, more with emphasis on recovery. After trying this method ourselves for several years, and struggling with our own burnout and fatigue, we discovered something extremely powerful - life changing - sometimes, less is more.
The more recovery time we gave ourselves, both mentally and physically, the more balanced we felt. We discovered how to work, workout and rest with efficiency. Optimizing this blend we found more energy and more passion for life. It's crazy to think we work ourselves so hard that self care days, or even hours, are a rare luxury. We'd like to change that. We want everyone to experience the sweet relief and joy of discovering balance in wellness. Don't worry, we still like to workout hard, but these days we like to rest hard as well.
Our studio blends beautiful space and energetic Training with the reviving powers of Massage and Yoga to create the most empowering fitness experience you’ve been a part of yet!
