Our friend and Portland culinary legend, Tommy Habetz, has undergone emergency brain surgery.

We are hoping for his speedy recovery.

Sarah Pliner was important to us. A force of nature that was taken from us way too soon.

She is somewhere rolling her eyes at our attempt at her sandwich, but also secretly smiling that we are trying so hard to make her happy.

It was our hope that Sarah Pliner would do us the honor of a Chefwich when she eventually opened her new place several months from now.

She was taken from us suddenly and tragically while cycling to work on October 4th.

So we combed through her previous restaurant’s Instagram, and found this little slice of heaven.

These delicious local peppers were gently grilled and marinated in white balsamic and olive oil. They are going on our exclusive 10 year anniversary sandwich with Italian roasted beef and provolone cheese! One day only! And probably on our menu very soon. Haa!
