Radio Cab had a very special visitor this week. Coming all the way from Fort Worth, Texas, is Reese Lawhon's sister and niece. Claire and her adorable daughter wanted to see the memorial top light placed in honor of Reese. May his memory live on always.

On April 9th, 2023 (Easter Eve) at 6:51 p.m., Reese was murdered while driving the passenger who killed him.

Thank you, Claire and Edie, for coming and seeing this memorial, which is lit in Reeses honor only on April 9th each year! This top light is from the cab Reese was driving that night and is the only remaining evidence from the murder. The car Reese was driving was crushed and recycled!

The entire Lawhon family became members of the Radio Cab family that day!

So far this year the criminals shooting and stabbing Radio Cab drivers are winning. Today Bradley Stanwood was sentanced to five plus years (70 months) in prison after taking away the livelyhood of our former driver Michael Stevens. Please consider a donation to Michaels GoFundMe, a link will be in the comments of this post, to help he and his family stay in their home.

Earlier this year Moses Lopez was sentenced to 22 years for killing Radio Cab driver Reese Lawhon. Lopez plunged a large knife into the neck of Reese from the back seat of his cab.

This has been a difficult and emotional year for the Radio Cab family. Watching convicted criminals get sweetheart deals that allow them a life to live after destroying our families is heartbreaking and a far cry from true justice!

Man who shot Radio Cab driver in Portland sentenced On Thursday, a man convicted in the shooting of a Portland cab driver was sentenced to more than five years in prison.

We are so excited to be able to work with such an exceptional High School student! Kallee is a three sport athlete in wrestling, track and Soccer. Kallee is also an accomplished barrel racer! As a new year approaches we look back on 2023 with some amazing memories and a great deal of heartache as well.

We have a great and talented new group of drivers to lead us into 2024.

We think of the loss we feel everyday from the murder of driver Reece Lawhon and think of his family. We know in 2024 those scars will be ripped open once again as a murder trial will evoke all the pain again. But we are ready for what's to come.

Radio Cab has one amazing trait above all else, resiliency. We overcome better than anyone!
