Our recently completed heritage building in Tigard, OR. GSW designed this project to last for centuries with limestone cladding and zinc roofing. Excited to see some professional photography soon.

Site Lead Tony puts the finishing touches on a walnut slat overlay door by adjusting the hinge hardware for minimal reveals. When closed, the door disappears into the surrounding wall.

This week the DTC Carpenters worked on scribing and installing a "flush" or recessed base. The walnut slat wall in the works is carefully mapped to align with each tread throughout the flight. White oak risers will be installed after an LED light detail is added.

Last week the DTC/Newberg Team had Vince Micha visit. It was such a pleasure to do a walkthrough with Vince and the Newberg Team and see the completed project- which is spectacular. More pictures to come hopefully this spring.

The remains of our Newberg project final walk-through. Well done everyone! Architect Vince Micha, PA Chelsea Acker, PM Kevin Nortz, Lead Carpenter Tony Keil, Operations Michelle Joye, and the entire DTC team. DTC's Monthly Employee Spotlight – Honoring our staff and sharing with you All the faces behind DTC!

David is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana; he moved to Portland in 2004 to pursue a career in music with other fellow musicians. They played live locally and down the west coast, recording one full-length record in the process. Amidst this pursuit, he began tending bar downtown and discovered a new avenue for creativity and connecting with people that would take root once the band dissolved. In 2011 a group of close friends and David opened their own bar, and he enjoyed becoming a core part of the inner southeast community for over a decade.
He met his wife Julie here in Portland, and they now have two amazing children. His family naturally brought his time in the bar business to an end but also yielded the chance to explore a new creative field in which he had long been interested.
"Now that I've shifted my focus towards building beautiful homes, I can't wait to share with my little ones the reward of making something with their own hands.” - David

David is one of the newer members of the DTC Family - his first anniversary is coming up in June. DTC is truly honored to have David as part of our team!
