🧄 Every October, co-ops around the nation celebrate and spread awareness about our community-owned, community-centered business model. This year’s theme, “The Future is Cooperative,” was chosen as an opportunity to share what makes co-operative enterprises resilient human-centered sustainable business models for the future. Co-op Month is a great time to invest in your People’s share and encourage others to support People’s.

🧄 Don't have a Co-op share? The time is now! This is the BEST time to become a Member-Owner at People's. Every October when you invest in your people's share you get a cool gift. You can also get the gift if you invest $30 in our Pay It Forward Membership Fund or our Living Wage Fund.

🧄 Want to become a Member-Owner but worried about the cost? We have a fund for that! You can apply to get a free membership through our Pay It Forward Membership Fund. There are tons of percs and we just want everyone to enjoy them!

Here’s what ya need to know:

🐝 We will close on Thursday, 8/15 for one day!
🛠️ Poppy’s will be closed from 8/13-8/19 because we are repairing the window/siding behind the cart.
🐝 We’ll be open during the rest of construction (scheduled to end ~3rd week of August)
🛠️ You may experience some noise/dust
🐝 Quiet hours are 6-9p daily

🗳️ Hey Member-Owners! Have you voted yet? 🗳️

One of the biggest benefits of being a part-owner of People's is having a say in important decisions. You get to elect our Board, choose which orgs we donate to, amend bylaws, and vote on other major decisions. Fun fact: Member-Owners voted to make our store vegetarian back in the day!

This year, we have FOUR Board seats open. The Board represents YOU, the Member-Owners, and governs the Co-op through policy governance.
