Irina Francis

About

I’m Irina, a Russian-born artist, designer and folklorist. My art is deeply inspired by the folklore, traditions and rich culture of my Motherland, nature and Orthodox Christianity. I have a Master’s Degree in translation and international communications, and despite my love for languages, I also wish to pursue my one true passion: art.

My desire to express myself through different art mediums and techniques compelled me to translate my love for visual arts into my own stationery line as well as art prints for others to enjoy and share with their loved ones. I equally also enjoy creating patterns, playing with various textures, colors and styles.

I currently reside in the Pacific North West and works from my home studio with support of my loving husband. When I am not tucked away in the studio, you can find me embroidering, taking photographs, taking care of my birds and my cat, exploring forests, visiting botanical gardens, looking for treasures at antique stores and traveling with my husband.
