Bad Batch Alert

SHRPS has received numerous community reports of new supply in circulation that has caused many overdoses! The product is a light pink fine powder. Remember, you can always do more but you can never do less.

Protect yourself and those you love with these steps and tools:

1. Test your drugs before use. Fentanyl test strips and Xylazine test strips are both available at the SHRPS syringe program or by contacting (740) 981-7714. You can also order online through The Soar Initiative at https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9X1WXLYWzkiYVHD
2. Use with someone and take turns. That way someone is always able to administer Naloxone/Narcan.
3. If you are alone use the Never Use Alone hotline 1-800-484-3731 or download the Brave Co-op's Brave App for Apple or Android here https://www.brave.coop/overdose-detection-app
4. Have naloxone/Narcan with you and make sure that anyone you're with knows where to find it in your bag, your car, or your house.
5. If you are responding to an overdose and Xylazine or "tranq" is possibly involved, give naloxone/Narcan as normal and monitor the person's breathing to ensure that breathing improves.
6. Contact 911 if you need emergency medical services.

If you need naloxone/Narcan, you can get it at these places/organizations:
