I ran for School Board two years ago out of a genuine desire to support our teachers and kids! I'm not up for re-election until 2025. But I'm thrilled to see so many amazing people running this cycle, including many parents who have kids in our schools! I'm always happy to talk about issues in our schools, and share my thoughts on who I'm supporting this cycle and why. Since many of you asked, this is who has my vote for School Board:

Tish Garrity Campbell, a good friend who served as a volunteer Girls on the Run coach with me, is a PHS alum and parent of two recent PHS grads, and has a background in special education.

Bill Blum, who has advocated tirelessly in Concord for LGBTQ+ rights, is an avid cyclist active in SABR, a volunteer at South Church, and supporter of the trades and our local Career Tech Education programs.

Pip Clews for School Board, who I've had the pleasure of serving with on the board, and whose dedication to improving policy in our district has no match! And who I consider a friend!

Byron Matto, who I've had many thoughtful conversations with on the campaign trail, is a parent of young kids who can bring fresh perspective and valuable business experience to our board.

PORTSMOUTH KIDS NEED YOU TO RUN FOR SCHOOL BOARD! Filing period ends Sept 12 at 5pm. Details here: https://www.cityofportsmouth.com/city/press-releases/portsmouth-municipal-elections-filing-period-opens-august-28-2023

Every fall, for me, is about new adventures and fresh starts! It's been a great joy to see this happen every year for my own kids even as they're getting way too big! I've always volunteered on PTAs and in so many other ways, and I ran for school board because it felt like an even bigger way to give back. It's been so much more rewarding than I thought it would be! Please come join me on the board! Happy to talk to anyone who wants to run - PM or email [email protected]

NH House just voted down SB 272 the anti-queer, anti-teacher "parents bill of rights" so our schools can remain a safe place for my kids and so many like them. And it will stay gone if we all VOTE to keep it gone in the next election cycle.

11/08/2022

When you VOTE 11/8, please shop our PTA bake sales! Our Portsmouth PTAs raise up to $100,000 a year to support our teachers and kids - and fund field trips, classroom supplies, enrichment programs and SO MUCH MORE! Every purchase and donation makes a huge difference - and we can all agree this is a great cause no matter who we vote for at the polls!

Sending all the gratitude and appreciation to every single person working in our schools! Every student and family owes you so much more thanks than we can fully express for getting our kids through this year and bringing them so many chances for joy, discovery, and growth! I personally have too many teachers, counselors, paras, therapists, nurses and administrators to thank by name for getting my own two kids through to graduation from Little Harbour and Portsmouth Middle School this week!

Our community is mourning the tragic loss of Quarius Dunham, a third grader at Little Harbour School killed in a random shooting.
