One of the 1st shows we helped host was the Kars4Kids Charity Car Show with the
Seven Cities Camaro Club. This show was a huge success. With over 300 participants, we raised funds and awareness for a local organization that supports foster children, Connect With a Wish.
Save the date Virginia, our Brake the Stigma Show, will be in Portsmouth on September 22nd. More space, more vendors, more trophies, and less heat than last year lol. Flyers and pre-registration will be available soon.
Florida, no worries, we haven't forgotten about you. We are still working out our agreement with our location. In order to provide you the best show we can, all our blocks need to be checked, and this includes legalities. Our plan is to host a monthly cruise-in style event with our main show sometime in the fall.
We are almost through the holidays and I want to leave you with these words before the New Year.
From all of us at Cars4Awareness, we wish you a Merry Christmas.
Our 3rd Brake the Stigma show was a hot one. Not only did we have some hot rides, it was hot, literally. I don't know what the temperature ended up being, but it was one of the hottest days recorded in Virginia for that year. Braving the heat, about 75 participants came out to support the cause. Thank you to all of you.
Donations are greatly appreciated so that we can continue our mission to reduce su***des among those struggling with mental health and PTSD.

For all you holiday fanatics, this is it. With the holidays in full swing now, this is when things begin to get a little crazy. These are just a few of the symptoms you need to be aware of before having a mental break down. Take care of each other and take a break before you break.
Here are some quick and easy ways to take a mental break:
- Move your body.
- Breathe.
- Meditate.
- Write a journal.
- Connect with someone.
- Disconnect from technology.
- Spend time in nature.
- Listen to music.
What do you do to take a mental break?
Donations are greatly appreciated so that we can continue our mission to reduce su***des among those struggling with mental health and PTSD.

Our 2nd Brake the Stigma show. Wow, this was such an amazing show. Building from the prior show, only 4 months later nearly 250 participated in the show. This show enabled us to begin some of our programs such as the Teal Flag Project.
Donations are greatly appreciated so that we can continue our mission to reduce su***des among those struggling with mental health and PTSD.

I'm willing to bet that most of us have been here before. Most of us have had that friend or family member that was feeing a little down, a little off, and we responded with one of these phrases. For all you hardcore people, we aren't talking about that military or similar environment. We are talking about someone complaining because they have a 75lb ruck on their back at mile marker 25 and crying that life is rough. We aren't talking about that friend who bought a Mustang GT and got smoked by a Camaro crying that, life isn't fair either. Think about it. With millions of people each year suffering with PTSD, depression, or a similar related challenge, more than likely, you know someone, and more than likely, you have made one of these comments before. Let's change how we look at mental health and let's change how we talk about it.
Donations are greatly appreciated so that we can continue our mission to reduce su***des among those struggling with mental health and PTSD.

A little late, but Happy Hanukkah π
The 1st Brake the Stigma show. Our first show had about 75 cars, pretty awesome because we were afraid we would only have about 25 due to the meaning behind the show.
