RECIPE FOR SUCCESS! Today we stopped by Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office Correctional Center to do a story on a new program they’re doing! Inmates who work in the kitchen have an opportunity to get their food handler cards upon their release, so they can get jobs in the restaurant and food service industry when they get out. It’s not required in VB, but Food Service Director Steve Wilke says it makes them more marketable to get jobs when they can say they have experience working with food.
Also- CHECK THIS OUT! 👀 Malcom Robinson and Quentin McGinnis made us a WAVY TV 10 cake! So cool!

Here’s a few more photos from our set launch yesterday & some of the rehearsals we did last week to get ready!
We are so excited that we get to bring you the news from our brand new set! It’s absolutely beautiful!
We also had some pretty fun rehearsals to get ready for the big day! 🤣 We rarely get to joke around on the news, so we had a lot of fun with the rehearsals!
But in all seriousness- It took so many incredible people working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this happen and we are so thankful for them! Our engineering department, our production team and our graphics department did an awesome job these past few weeks working to get everything ready ahead of launch day and we couldn’t be more excited!
So ready for Day ✌🏼! Hope you’ll tune in! 📺
