Important Update for Silver Championships!
Please keep an eye on your email for volunteer information.
Good Afternoon,
This is a reminder that all lost and found items will be packed up and donated tonight. Our VP Jess will be at the 7:30 practice packing things up, so please have your swimmer take a quick look at the items that are out on the table and in the bins to see if any of them are theirs.
Also, for your convenience, you may drop off any non-perishable food court donations for the Silvers Meet, Friday night during practice time. You can place it on/under the table on the top of the staircase that goes down to the pool. We still need two crockpot Mac-N- Cheeses (can easily be Kraft mac-n-cheese) and 3 fruit salads (both hot sellers) along with a few other smaller items. Again, we need all members, regardless if they are a swimmer or diver, participating in the meet or not-to donate a food court item.
We are still in need of many food court donations for our Silver Championships that is coming up this Saturday. The food court is the biggest money maker for our club. Both swim and dive parents are expected to donate an item or make a monetary donation towards the food court for this championship meet.
Please be sure to sign up for a food court donation. Items can be dropped off at the cafeteria the morning of the meet.
Thank you to those who have already donated. We appreciate every donation we get. We would like to see everyone do their part.
If you have not already done so, please sign up for your donation now!
Save the Date!
Our Swim and Dive Team Award Ceremony will be held on March 22nd.
The Silver Championship is just a few days away!
VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED-this is an all hands on deck meet since this is the biggest meet we host. Members are required to volunteer, regardless if their swimmer/diver is participating. A lot goes into this meet and we NEED EVERYONE to make it happen. We have several volunteer jobs that still need to be filled. Please sign up ASAP if you have not already done so.
We still need:
Food Court Cashiers-1st and 2nd half
Numerous Food Court Positions (esp. 2nd half)
Heat Staging- Gym and Pool Deck 2nd half
Meet Clean up
Numerous 2nd half timers
We would appreciate for those who have not volunteered for this event yet, to please do so. Thank you to those members who have consistently volunteered throughout the whole season. Your time and dedication is noticed and appreciated! We are looking forward to this exciting meet for our swimmers. Go OJR!
Please make sure you check out the lost and found bins at the bottom of the stairwell. Anything remaining will be donated on Thursday.
Good Afternoon OJRAC Members,
We have many items in our lost and found located under the pool staircase. There are many items displayed on the table (waterbottles, lots of goggles, swim caps) and additional items (towels, sweatshirts, coats) in the bins under the table. If your child lost anything during the swim season, there is a very good chance that it may be in our lost and found. PLEASE have your child visit or you, yourself, visit the lost and found this week during practice to claim anything that are your childs'. All unclaimed items will be packed up THIS THURSDAY (2/15) and donated.
Thank you,
So proud of our wildcats for an amazing season!!
Please commit/decline by Sunday, February 11th
The Linda Burston Silver Championship Meet coming up soon. Please either commit/decline your swimmer for this event by Wednesday, February 14th.
All swimmers, including level 1, who do not meet the qualifying times to swim events at the Tri-County Championships are invited to swim events at the Silver Championships. (Swimmers are allowed to split their championships ex: they qualify for 2 events at Tri-county because of qualifying times-they swim those events at Tri-County Champs- then they can swim 2 events at Silver Championships).
This is a huge meet that will benefit the entire OJR Aquatics Club. We need everyone to volunteer to make this meet a success, even if your swimmer or diver is not participating. Please review the list and sign up for your desired volunteer spot! Also, please pay close attention to the half your volunteer job is in. Please note the times for meet set up as well. Again, we need ALL HANDS ON DECK to make this meet run as smoothly as possible.
Like dual meets, we also require that families donate to the food court, even the dive members in this case. Please keep an eye out for the food court sign up that will be emailed out soon. When you do donate, please drop your donation off at the cafeteria in the morning of the meet upon arrival.
Older swimmers (ages 11-14, not swimming at Silver Champs) and Alumni are encouraged to volunteer. They make great escorts from the gym to the pool deck or handing out heat winner awards. Please let us know if your older swimmer/alumni would like to volunteer.
The meet start time is 9:30 a.m. Arrival times will be shared closer to the event.
