I make stuff. The only thing that makes me happier than creating is making people happy.
Nothing here is necessarily "for sale," but if you see something you love, please message me and I will see if I can create a replica for you or have a print made or even give you the original (if I'm not too attached).
Latte Foam...Resin & Glass
This dark angel started as a doodle 6 or so months ago, then got forgotten about on a shelf until today.
Mixed media on 18x24 canvas--acrylic with ground glass, lace, polymer clay, feathers, acetate gems, rhinestones, and Swarovski crystals.
This is the painting I was fighting with this past weekend. Looking at it again with fresh eyes, maybe not the worst?
Yup. This is definitely my favorite one.
So 4 of my favorite things to do had a baby: faux stained glass + resin + acrylic pouring + geodes =
Turned out nothing at all like what I was going for, but I still dig it. It's like flowing magma...
Also don't be jealous of my hot pocket. I was literally a starving artist 🙃
I was too tired to type what I did, so I figured I'd explain it lol. It reminds me of a pink agate now
For someone who claims to not really love the color blue, I've certainly been going thru a lot of it lately 🤔
Bottom pic is with flash...trying to catch the copper and rose gold metallic but it's not really picking up on camera.
Another background, same technique...Diggin' it
Working on a background
Sparkly 🤩🤩🤩
Will it be a doodle that goes nowhere? Will it be a passion project that lasts for months and inspires a full-apartment redecorating and a spinoff novella? Who knows???
Just what my apartment needed... more ME, but yuuuuuge... and saintly 😇
Awwww...the resin gods gifted me with a little ♥️ in my pour 🥰
Made another thing. This resin stuff is addictive!! I'm obsessed with this tray 😍 I almost don't even want to sell it 😩
I made a thing.
Not horrible for a first attempt
Playing with sheet metal... and I still have all my fingers in tact!! Not bad for a first attempt, right? (I won't show you the bottom...my soldering skills have fallen by the wayside... it's been a good 10 years since I've weilded an iron 🙃
Marzipan Merlot Jelly. It's a thing cuz I just invented it 😜😋😁
Hand-painted tarot card candles with little wire-wrapped crystal dangly thingies. Cuz why not?
Idk what's more fun... making the actual candles, or embellishing them. 😍
I gotta start keeping better notes for my fragrance blends too. This one smelled like heaven, but who knows if I'll be able to reproduce it?
Revising some poetry with my nephew's artwork closeby for both caffeine and inspiration. I love being Aunt Jen. 🥰🥰🥰
Red Onion Raspberry Balsamic Jam...grilled cheese will never be the same again. Or chicken wings. Or cheese burgers. Omg is it too late to make baked brie right now?!?!
Faux stained glass tarot lantern. Each panel is one of the aces, and it even has a star hanging inside, just like the hermit's lantern.
Faux stained glass solar system... with and without back lighting. I painted each planet separately and affixed it. Glass and pearl beads accent the sun and stars and constellations. Gold lead lines. I really love this one ❤
Seashells...cheaper than canvas 🤣 My Gustav Moreau knockoff.
(Warning... this might be my new obsession while the weird elbow-nerve-zing-thing that faux stained glass has been giving me is healing.) Enjoy 😉
Name a more magnificent configuration of shape, contour, and highlight than the female form... I'll wait.
Well, here's where it took me...
Hand-burnishing a full 16x20 sheet of oil pastel definitely counts as arm day at the gym.😅
This isn't done yet, and I'm not sure where I'm taking it (or rather, where it's taking me), but I need a break after all that blending, so here's a progress pic.
Medusa. I've decided I'm going to faux-stained-glass my entire life.
Let there be light! ...But make it a faux stained glass, back-lit, shadowbox Phoenix. First attempt with this technique and I'm kinda obsessed. More to come.
