Today is World Cancer Day. Celebrate your fighters, survivors and those that have been laid to rest. It’s a never ending battle filled with trauma, PTSD, victories and losses.

The 10/50 Challenge for 2024 is complete!

24 hours, 45 athletes, so many meters rowed, dollars raised, and a community of support, proving that we are, in fact, stronger together!

Today, we were able to hand a check for over $8,000 to Kitsap Cancer Services because of the money raised before, during, and days after the event. This doesn’t include the many donations made directly to their main website.

Thank you to the many sponsors, who donated monetarily, raffle prizes, scholarships, food, coffee, music support, rehabilitation services, and to those who volunteered their time throughout the event. A special thanks to DJ Wood for supplying us with his musical genius which kept athletes motivated and smiling for all 24 hours.

To our 10/50 Challengers, we couldn’t be prouder of the efforts you all showed this past weekend. You conquered a true test of will, battling hard all the way through the 24th hour. Congratulations on your feat of fitness and thank you for helping make this event a memorable one!

Coming up next: The CrossFit Open begins February 29th -stay tuned for more details later this week.

For those new to the game, the 10/50 Challenge is a fundraising event for Kitsap Cancer Services and it’s not too late to be a part of the cause!

Ways to get involved:
Register to row-there are still spots open!
Donate-directly to Kitsap Cancer Services or on event day!
Sponsor-sponsorship can be in the form of a donation or raffle prize for athlete
Support and cheer squad-on event day, athlete will welcome cheers of support as they row for max meters for ten minutes, every hour for 24 hours!

The 10/50 Challenge is a 24-hour long rowing fundraiser to be held January 27-28 at Kitsap CrossFit in Poulsbo, WA. The event will benefit Kitsap Cancer Services, an organization dedicated to providing services to cancer patients and their families in Kitsap County.

Tina joined the original organization as “Humble Abode” in 2003 after losing her mom to cancer! In 2004 the original board stepped down, and Kitsap Cancer Services was formed. Tina remained as the Treasurer of the Board until 2012. She volunteered to manage Helping Hands Housekeeping service from 2012-2019, and continues now to serve on the board as our wonderful Treasurer. We are so grateful for her.

A great big THANK YOU to all the participants and volunteers at our annual golf tournament. It was a huge success!
