We are excited to welcome Ed!

He started Billy Shears, near Northgate Mall, with his brother Richard in 1968. Later he moved his salon to Lake Union. He’s currently working in Bellevue and is available for cuts here on Saturday’s.

And for those of our guests putting pieces together, yes, he is the brother of Richard.

All of my guests know what a fan of dry shampoos I happen to be. I’m shocked and saddened to see so many professional and drug store brands contain benzene.

I asked Michelle for nails that went with my Professor Snape costume, but they couldn’t be snakes. She rose to the challenge with these Hungarian Horntail designs.

Some weeks are harder than others. This week I said farewell to two of my guests that moved to be closer to family.
Mary quickly turned from a guest to a friend overnight. We have gone to concerts and plays. She even sat with me while my husband underwent his heart ablation. I didn’t get a picture of us on the final visit because I know I will see her again. Even if that means flying to Oklahoma to do it.

Nancy has been my guest since the 1990’s.
She knew me before I got married and before I had kids. She made the sweetest cups when they were born and made me laugh every visit.

Oh ladies, thank you for making this anything but a job. You made it a date with a girlfriend. 💙

I’m a terrible photographer and I usually move directly from one client to the next. However, I have amazing guests that push me in the right direction sometimes. Kelle is a natural dark blond that is lightly greying. We combine foiling and bayalage to give her a seamless grow-out. As a departure from our regular formula, we glazed her with a vanilla macaroon milkshake to give her a Scandinavian look.

Our gift sets have started to arrive! It’s never too early, right?
